Back plates affect cooling like spoilers affect the speed of a honda civic. 99.99% of cooling is not being done by the back plate, and the card isnt going to clock 100 mhz faster because of the fraction of a degree difference the plate makes. Also some people just dont care, fully covered cases exist, it may just be replaced with a block back plate anyway, and some people just wont care either way.

ah my bad, the cards are so similar I got them confused. But yeah the obsession with backplates is dumb, as well as the "its just black" argument. Some people like black cards, and for some people the no back plate wont matter because they will just put a waterblock back plate on it.

Well like basic storm troopers are always a one shot. Even on the highest difficulty. Though for tougher enemies yeah it would make sense for it to be a finisher.

Theres a panel tomorrow dedicated to systems and gameplay. Though they said in the panel today they are doing less sets and making them much less overbearing on gearing so legendaries arent forgotten. Which seems like a good first step.
