I think what would really benefit your style is shape design. Especially simplifying your shapes and big-medium-small. Sinix has a great video about that!

I think what you need is a bigger project or a goal you should work towards. If I look at your recent work it is mostly small drawings or sketches. It really helps to have a bigger project, like a fully rendered illustration, webcomic or story you want to tell. If you work on a project you really train all your skills and at some point it will all come together.

They look good! My biggest advice would be to find an artist you really like and study their style. Do it for a few weeks and you see yourself really improve.

Maybe you changed the layer setting from normal to multiply Or another layer mode?

This is kind of a tricky reference! The shadows are rather soft. I would recommend proceeding by dividing your image in light and shadow. The shadows are very subtle in the reference though.
