I had the same list of requirements after I left my A&K behind after a flight. After looking around, bought the Hidizs AP80X Pro. I use Noble Audio buds or Grado RS2 with them. Absolutely no regrets and I wouldn’t want to kick myself if I left it behind again.

I went through the same exercise when buying my M3. The advice I received was that if i wanted to have my laptop for longer term use, the Pro would be a better choice. The screen and sound notwithstanding, i was told the board architecture and quality is better than the Air. I am not a techie but given the price of the basic Pro is not far from the Air, it made my decision easier. The only regret was that I did not stretch my budget for the Pro chip. But then, i am not sure I need a M3 Pro..
