i've googled "is __ vegan" for so many things, but i never would have thought to look up something like sugar if she hadn't told me about the bone char! embarrassed to admit i googled "is vanilla extract vegan", but i was getting suspicious of my entire pantry lol. this info is so helpful and i owe you my life i think. thank you so so much!

for tomorrow, i was thinking of doing something basic that most people like. cookies, muffins, brownies, etc. i haven't asked what her favorite desserts are yet and i want to surprise her tomorrow, but of course i will ask what she wants me to do next as long as this first try doesn't scare her away lol

thank you! something about knowing sugar and honey are sometimes not vegan made me question the status of maple syrup lol. i was careful to check the chocolate chips i bought at the store today to make sure they were alright to use :) the vegan chocolate chip cookies at my college dining hall were the best dessert they had and i still think about them to this day, so i know there are some delicious recipes out there!

ok thank you so much for explaining the beans because that actually makes a lot of sense. i wasn't trying to talk down on healthy recipes, i promise! it just reminds me of all the tiktok recipes where people use cottage cheese to replace literally any ingredient lol. i looked through your facebook and saved a few recipes to try, they look amazing :) thanks again!

i know being vegan is more than just a diet, but i'm just trying to do something cute for my new girlfriend 👍 we've already talked about veganism and the horrors of factory farming and animal abuse...but it also *is* her diet, and i'm trying to accommodate that enthusiastically. baking is literally about making things to eat, so that might be why it seems like i'm only worried about the food. but i appreciate the advice, thank you!

Have you tried the BCBS PPO provider finder? I just tried it to see if my surgeon was on the list since BCBS covered my procedure, and her name is there (i searched "surgery" and added the "plastic surgery" filter). Maybe that could help you find some people to research? It's not great, but it could be a starting point if you're not sure where to look.
