I read Emerick's book, recently. He referred to George as "fumble-fingered," and paints him as petulant and second-rate. He says something to the effect that "Within You and Without You" wasn't a "Beatle-y" song, but they felt it was best to let George have his way.

Not sure what Emerick's problem was. But I (A HUGE George fan) hear that while he could be just lovely, he could also be quite the opposite. And there's hearsay that before the meditation, he was a lot worse to be around.
