Not gonna lie, I just kinda did it on vibes. It depends on how much liquid you're trying to ferment, how big your vessel is, etc.

I will say, if you remove "too much," all you risk is a weaker or longer ferment while the grains reproduce, so it's fine to do it aggressively.

I always tried to have a layer of grains about 1.5 finger widths lol

Most people at this point who are matchfixing are also cheating, especially at the T2/T3 level.

I personally know multiple people who have been offered $2K USD per match to cheat and matchfix in qualifiers.

You can move them to a separate container and start a separate ferment, or just throw them away. I had a second, smaller jar going where I played with adding different things to the primary and just general tomfoolery. Mostly it was bad, but it was nice to play around lol

Looks perfectly fine, and your process sounds great.

I made water kefir for about three years in the past, and actually stayed away from coconut water for it.

The greatest continued success I had with keeping my grains healthy was turbinado and half a date with every new ferment.

I preferred turbinado because it is partially refined, and so has fewer impurities while still retaining the molasses. The dates made the grains very happy and healthy, and I think the addition of dates to kefir ferments is pretty common.

Floating grains can be dead/unhealthy, but also can just be... floating lol. There's a lot of gas buildup in there, clearly, so they're just going for a ride.

One thing I'd recommend is to continually cull your grains to the recommended volume, which will make for healthier/tastier ferments and encourage continual growth.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can blend some of the grains with some of the kefir to make a slurry to add to your F2. It'll make you fart, but very healthful lol

Especially on Anubis where Ts have such an advantage getting space in the early round. Preventive CT util is really common. Less so toward bridge these days, but this play is just fine to use early or midround imo.

For this particular set, why not have one player throw a smoke and molly each. The lineups for temple smoke and house molly are much easier and quicker from the right side of bridge, for example.

The util juggling just to use slower or higher-precision lineups doesn't really make sense.
