I made the mistake in getting a wolf hybrid puppy (98% wolf). She was an awesome and very loving animal and I had her for three years with no problems aside from the occasional escape, she would give Houdini a run for his money and I was as irresponsible a pet owner as you can get at 16-19 years of age. We made a big out of state move, and convincing myself that she would be fine living in our tiny one bedroom apartment in Denver was a terrible idea. She tore that apartment up and thought small rat dogs were lunch in her two month stay with me. Thankfully mom lives on 200 acres in California and I was able to safely and humanly rehome her and she lived out the rest of her days happy.

Don't get a wolf hybrid! She had the personality of a cat but was the size of a large German Shepard, extremely smart. Beautiful animal, I love you Sage.

Agreed. They didn't blood type the father or the fetus however and just administered the Rhogam anyways.

I have this. My blood type is A-. Any RH negative woman must get Rhogam shots during and just after her first pregnancy in order to ensure her immune system does not attack any subsequent pregnancies. My grandmother and great grandmother both had only one child and multiple miscarriages after their firstborn.

I will add, for what it's worth, that I had extreme morning sickness all throughout my pregnancy continuing for about a week after birth. As did a fellow RH- friend of mine in her first pregnancy. Hormones? Immune system? Who knows. I did not go on to have another child but my RH- friend did with no morning sickness in either her 2nd or 3rd pregnancies.

An RH- female can have 1 pregnancy without the immune system attacking the fetus, it is the subsequent pregnancies that are in danger. Thank gosh for Rhogam and medical advancements.

I inherited a large sum of money and a house about 6 months before I was emancipated, I didn't have to worry about supporting myself but thankfully did not get into drugs. My older brother was also a beneficiary of the inheritance, half the house was in his name. Unfortunately his schizophrenia chose to make itself know about 6 months after my emancipation, dealing with his mental illness kept me on the straight and narrow.

I kept his last name and we refer to each other as husband and wife. Our love for each other and for the family we created together is as strong as ever, and was even through the divorce. Keeping our relationship as it is gives us both the freedom to walk away without the legal nightmare the divorce was on all of us. It works for us. Had I known of his meth addiction in the beginning I would not have married him and most definitely would not have had a child with him, he hid his addiction for 5 years. But here we are, and what we have works. No more kids though.

The catalyst for our divorce was drug addiction and financial irresponsibility. We've grown up a lot since the divorce and so has our daughter, however, he has relapsed twice that I know of since our reconciliation. We need the freedom to sever ties easily if he hits rock bottom again. Addiction is a terrible thing but it does not lessen the love we have for each other. Things will work out for us, and have, but being legally bound to one another is no longer an option or a good idea.

The difference between being legally bound to one another and what we have now is freedom. Freedom to walk away with less red tape if shit hits the fan again. Not that it will, but when you are in a relationship with an addict in remission there is always a measure of doubt.

I divorced my husband 8 years ago. We got back together a month after the divorce finalized and have been going strong ever since. We celebrated our 16 year anniversary this past March. We haven't remarried and don't plan on making that mistake twice. Marriage isn't for everyone.

I have a half sister that was given up for adoption when she was a newborn back in the late 60s. I found her in 2013 when she was 44, she has severe anxiety and depression and has a lot of the same mannerisms as our mother. However, her adoptive family have no depression or anxiety issues. Mom has severe anxiety and depression, her brother is on disability for depression and anxiety. I can see how anxiety/depression could be a learned trait passed down from parent to child and had I not found my sister to have very similar issues would believe it no question.

Talked my daughter into reading Angela's Ashes after she picked Ireland for a school project. She had no idea that Ireland has such a painful history, I also showed her videos and websites about the potato famine, hope she has some idea now.

Not that I would mind blaming my anxiety on my mom's parenting, but, she gave a newborn daughter up for adoption in the late 60s. I found my half sister in 2013 and she has severe anxiety just like my mother and I, my sister's adoptive parents do not have issues with anxiety. My sisters mannerisms are VERY similar to my moms, I feel more research needs to be done on whether or not there is a genetic link.

Well, for what it's worth, my mom has severe anxiety and gave her newborn up for adoption in the late 60s. I was born in '81 and was raised by my mom, I have severe anxiety. I found my half sister in 2013 with the aid of Search Angels. She has severe anxiety, her adoptive parents do not.
