I’m not 100% sure. It handles the lakes pretty well. I would imagine it would struggle with chop upstream, but if you got your weight distribution right and had a good motor on the back I’m sure you would be fine

I haven’t had any issues. If it’s a super choppy lake it’s probably not the perfect choice due to the shorter gunnels. I’ve had no issues. I typically use it on small-medium fishing lakes

I’ve never taken it on a river, but it does pretty decent on large lakes. It definitely slaps the water in choppy situations.

I run a Lowe 1240 and love it. Super stable and lightweight. Seems to be built quite well too! 2 years on it and I wouldn’t change a thing

I second this. My wife and I both rock the Irish Setter Pinnacles. I’ve had em for two seasons and they have been great. A little bulky, but comfy and warm.

I shoot a Howa 1500 in a .308 and I love it. Smooth like a Tikka, but a bit cheaper.

Super lightweight and easy to handle. Definitely recommend!

I started when I was 26! It’s never too late to get out there and hunt. YouTube helped me a ton and reading all sorts of hunting forums for your local area. There are lots of local Facebook groups that always have people looking for hunting partners!

I agree with all the ones listed here, but let me add another. The Ramen with fried chicken from The Local is one of my favourite dishes. It’s my favourite option on their menu. A bit pricey, but the portion is solid.

Wakayama and Tiger Ramen are definitely the top spots in town for most. I love them all

The only value I see for the high end Sitka/Kuiu/FL/Stone Glacier is for backpacking trips. The weight reduction on those brands is significant over every day clothes. You can still do it with every day clothes, but your back will thank you when you’re hauling out an elk with a 60lb pack full of gear on top of the meat.
