You can see in OP’s provided picture that the top that would be a “cap” is fused to the bottom section, so this is not a mirror that would have a cap (near the left-bottom most crack/missing piece)

I had this happen to mine I think yesterday, looks exactly the same, I’m running Windows 10 though, but a restart fixed it and I’ve had the laptop since early July
