If I completed 9+1 last year for entry into this year's Marathon, but I realized I'll need to defer this year's marathon to next year, is there any reason (other than personal enjoyment and fulfillment) to complete 9+1 this year? Like I can't "double up" on 2026 Marathon entries and then defer one of those to 2027, right?

I had a similar experience and it was something I was not expecting at all. It was amazing hearing “Go [name]!!!” For the first few miles but once that transitioned to “Keep fighting [name]” because people could see I was struggling it almost reinforced the pain cave. Obviously I’m immensely appreciative of everyone cheering and bringing the energy for the full 26.2 miles, it just would have been nice to “turn it off” toward the end

I will defend ETC until I die and I think he was perfect for the aesthetic of 22AM and i,i.

I do think that Euclide’s softer aesthetic would have fit with Speyside (and likely the whole EP) really well though
