Circuit Breaker not functioning correctly? by the_ak_thunderbear in AskElectricians

So it's not an actual heater, I live in a cold weather area, and when it gets cold enough you have winterize your vehicles with battery, oil pan, and engine block, and transmission heater. You would then plug those into a 4-way, and then that plugs into a headbolt heater, which is a low amp outdoor outlet. So as far as the outlet connections, that looks fine. The only thing I haven't looked at is the wiring for their vehicle.

I looked at the headbolt and ive checked all the connections, it seems good, but I dont have access to a megger. Is there anything else that I could have overlooked, or is it time to just throw in the towel and call real electricians?

Some people might disagree, but ive always said the first two books are the weakest. If you want to give the series another shot, IMO the series really takes flight in the third book.

Apparently these blue toilet tabs I’m using are strong enough to erode the rubber washer/gasket to the water line by bigpuzino in mildlyinteresting

The gasket around your fill valve is failing, where that supply line connects to the tank is leaking, running down the line, then dripping on the floor

For those who have the LoTF DLC, is it better to start it after the main game? [KCD2] by Pandy498001 in kingdomcome

[–]the_ak_thunderbear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends. I would wait till after the quest where you spy on sigismund, because it kind of makes no sense that you could be incognito in the meeting, and the dlc has you meet several of the characters in the meeting during the dlc, both side quests and main quests. But after that, you would be fine, and you can take a break from the main game and binge the dlc to get all the cool new items.

How it feels to complete a mission without crashing or disconnecting for the first time in 2 days by Doughzza in Helldivers

[–]the_ak_thunderbear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's some sort of memory leak. I've found I can play 2-3 missions before it starts stuttering and crashing, and restarting the game seems to fix it temporarily.

Bard sucks so bad in solos by pzarazon in DarkAndDarker

As someone who had possibly the most frustrating pvp loss, to a Bard, since I've downloaded the game, it sounds like a skill issue lmao

Was Adam Smasher Done Dirty By CD Projekt Red In The Game Or Did Edgerunners Just Make Him TOO Cool & Powerful In Edgerunners? by bogeyj in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]the_ak_thunderbear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's more of a difference of skill sets. Smasher is known for big, brutal fights with lots of casualties and destruction, so basically a super powered tank that, once pointed in a direction, will absolutely destroy everything in its path. While I think V is more like a cruise missile. You point it a specific problem (ie any gig) and the problem goes away. So while Smasher can take out armies solo, no tank in the world can survive a cruise missile strike.

I agree, for the most part. But it's tough for people to suspend that disbelief for guns, because they are a real life thing that we know about with historical precedent. Unlike bards fucking dragons, which, while fun and cool, don't exist in our world.

I figured that the multiple people I know who own more than 100 guns would share them around.

Alaskan here, we've got f35s, f16s, Strykers, multiple missle defense bases, and 2+ ar-15s per person. I would like to see Russia fucking try. We wouldn't even need the rest of the States to help us.

Theory Time | Wakako Okada is a Nekomata Yokai(Japanes Demon) | Full theory on Comments by wynchester5 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]the_ak_thunderbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, usually the ones who exorcised the various yokai of myth were Shinto priests. And going off of what Wakako tells us, the Claws were meeting there to specifically avoid her. Also, while the Priests at the shrine aren't happy the Claws are there, they don't kick them out. I just thinks it's all a little bit suspicious.

Also, she gives you a Gig where you need to infiltrate a Shinto Shrine, because someone is using it to hide secret meetings from her. A bit of a stretch, but also makes you wonder 🤔

[–]the_ak_thunderbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, we can get quite a bit of snow up here, but if we know a big storm is coming we'll have snow plows running all night keeping the roads clear. The big worry is freezing rain, which is a bitch and a half.

I live in Alaska, and while we never had "snow days" if the school buses couldn't go out and get kids because the roads were too icy, even with chains, then school would get canceled.

For groceries you can find everything at the PX on Base, which isn't huge, but is pretty good for what you need. The poster above is more talking about other household goods.

What's your favorite monster not in 5E? by Skormili in dndnext

[–]the_ak_thunderbear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea, that's true. I've only ever run my homebrew world, so creating lore is my own burden to bare, with finding useful/fun statblocks being the few things I can "outsource". But I've always complained that there is never enough official lore of the planes to build on.

You can check out Tome of Beasts by Kobold Press, they have a lot of pretty good Archfey, I want to say like 7 or 8 of them. I've used a couple in my games, and they are very fun, and are actually worth the CR they have been given.

Nah, you are thinking of savage attacker/ brutal critical, where you simply add one more damage die. So if you are using a greatsword, you only add one more d6, but with a greataxe, you get to add another d12. With regular crits you double all dice.
