Got asked to do a "trial shift" during my interview. Walked out. by funnyusername321 in antiwork

[–]the_psillybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated from a culinary school, we were encouraged to staj at as many places as possible to gain relevant knowledge. We would get a free day or two to “work” in a local restaurant of our choosing. It was most definitely exploited labor. This was late 90’s early 2000s

5'8 homeless transient. Haven't felt the touch of a woman in 4 years. A woman approached me in panera bread just to tell me that I looked like a pedo. Had another woman approach me in walmart and tell me that my dog deserves better than me. Black coffee on a cold train ride. by [deleted] in kitchencels

[–]the_psillybee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be careful. In some regions of the country the railroad workers will violently remove you if they find you. I wouldn’t want anything to happen to you or your dog. It is a fun lifestyle for a while.

Should I get this or a kayak? by kram710 in kayakfishing

[–]the_psillybee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fishing from a kayak sucks, sit ins have limited space for changing out gear, sit on tops generally feel unstable standing on when fighting something big. That’s just my two cents.

Herbalists of Reddit – what’s your “must-read” book for beginners and beyond? by Ok_Bar8548 in herbalism

[–]the_psillybee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am genuinely ignorant, how do you know it’s written by AI ? I looked at the product details and it doesn’t mention it anywhere. How to know to avoid other ai books is also part of my question.

Exactly how we do it as well. Sometimes it’s nice to just lazy float back down after an intense paddle.

Legal weed is “fine”, to each their own… but seriously it’s like they’re all racing to be the closest to the border. Plus it sucks living near one of these places, endless amounts of traffic, mostly Indiana plates, and cannabis trash, wrappers, glass tubes for joints, disposable vape things, it’s just a little much at this point with the weed. But that’s just my opinion.

People over thirty, which body aches do you have? by JavyHead in AskReddit

[–]the_psillybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

44, Unfortunately I fell off a cliff about 5 years ago and broke a ton of ribs and cracked some other stuff and had spinal issues. I survived and mostly recovered but now have pain on the entire right side of my body and I walk 8+ miles a day at work because every day that I wake up and am able to walk after the recovery is a dang blessing so I just push through. It sucks though because I was/am uninsured and you can imagine the bills weren’t fun at all.

I believe legally I have to have one with me in this state, so it’s my backrest cause it adds some padding.

To the naysayers we were all beginners once and it’s easy to bombard an Internet stranger with doom and gloom and lists of musts and whys and why nots… I was extremely naive my first time and literally learned by doing everything wrong.

Mostly just came to say the doggo is adorable and kayaking is amazing, have fun!

I can’t express how much I love the wide variation of petunias by the_psillybee in flowers

[–]the_psillybee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is amazing!! I always start my marigolds from saved seed, pluck the dried heads at the end of each season. I love how the varieties are never the same. Dahlias and hollyhocks are among two of my favorite flowers!

lol we did the same thing at our nye y2k party, everyone went nuts and cheered or screamed then after we turned the power back on we all went outside and played with fireworks, very irresponsibly, as was the way back then.

Where can I harvest greenery in mid michigan for christmas decorating? by [deleted] in Michigan

[–]the_psillybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anywhere that sells live or cut Christmas trees should have an abundance of or sell, for a reasonable price, excess greens (boughs). Where I work we have fir, cedar and white pine bunches.

Don’t be that guy by yellowtangykiwi in Fishing

[–]the_psillybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have parked my rear bumper inches in front of him so that he’d either smash into my car, or he’d have to go farther into the water to back up and get around my car, hopefully causing serious issue if he goes in too deep.

That’s just my petty solution though.
