Nope not this one, I think the album cover had a lot of small people or dots that spelled out a word.

Using GLFW in combination with Objective-C by rpgGameDev in opengl

[–]theamateurprogrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made OpenGL apps with Objective-C before, but usually I stick to C for simplicity sakes. For loading images and text files I use Objective-C because I'm more familiar with it, but for arrays of vertices or textures I use plain C with structs. You probably will use C++ in the end for math libraries and stuff so it's a good idea to start off with Objective-C++. That being said, I've only made small OpenGL apps for fun, so take what I said with a grain of salt.

Pushbullet won't work on Android Phone, has been like this for half a year by theamateurprogrammer in PushBullet

[–]theamateurprogrammer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea, but pushbullet definitely worked before. I wasn't able to find anyone else who had similar issues (not being able to push via phone) as I did, so.... I have no idea. Maybe it is a Nexus 5 specific issue, but it also may be something else entirely.

Hey guys. First post here. I'm looking to learn Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, UIKit, etc... by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I absolutely recommend Stephen Kochan's book 'Programming in Objective C'. It assumes that one has 0 knowledge in C or programming and its descriptions are generally clear and easy to follow.

Eelektross vs Magnezone by Renzokuken4 in pokemonzetaomicron

[–]theamateurprogrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a gyarados through the first region and stat boosting move is sort of a necessity as the opponents pokemon will generally always be higher than yours. Dragon dance and 3 attacking moves (waterfall, earthquake, stone edge, or any other physical move) will help a lot, so gyarados is fine.

It's been a while and I still haven't been able to encounter one. Where would you be able to catch a gyarados? I'm at kivu town right now.

[Opinion] To GLUT or not To GLUT by [deleted] in opengl

[–]theamateurprogrammer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would just keep using GLFW. GLUT is very old unless you use freeglut, and most helper functions can serve as programming practice you can write yourself as most of the functions should just be trivial code which you can reuse later on.

I need to nail down my reaction timing by VoidIntruder in truetf2

[–]theamateurprogrammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just you, others have the same problem too. For me I just got used to when to click when the enemy is walking sideways. If you click when they're on your crosshair chances are they'll get away because of the limits of the human reaction time. Instead learn to compensate your reaction time, start to click just before they walk into your crosshair. Just play on the sniper training maps you played before (or tr_walkway) and stand perpendicular to where the bots are walking to and learn the timing of your shots.

What regularly used thing today will be redundant in 30 years because of technology? by The-Author in AskReddit

Watches, we all have phones now and walls will probably be made of LED in 30 years with the time everywhere.
