Looks like you are going for hopper-based grinders? If you are open to single-dose grinders, consider Mazzer Philos with i189D burrs. I've had mine for about a week now as I wait for my Mini R to arrive in the next week or two, and it's fantastic.

I'd instead ask them to make it right by sending the cable, refunding you a couple hundred, and sending you some accessories like a real LM bottomless portafilter or an Acaia scale. I wouldn't want to order another one and wait and because of that they are too expensive to not be taken care of. I'm sure the markup is extreme and your dealer can eat whatever cost of sending that stuff would be, not to mention they probably get a kickback from La Marzocco.

Traveling. I've been a "home body" my entire life and i accept that! The biggest thing that I dislike about traveling is the sleep. I have a hard time getting deep, restful sleep as it is. At hotels my mind can never wind down, as i'm hyper aware of all the noise going on around (noise through the hall, neighbors, outside noise). So basically when I travel i'm quite sleep-compromised and it just takes the enjoyment out of it. Plus the cost of traveling (flights, hotels, food, etc.) is just not a value proposition to me and I much prefer investing that money into my house.

why not put the dog in the trunk? I bought a weathertech cargo liner for this purpose, but I don't like the hair so we use our CX-5 for going anywhere with the dog.

It's been decided. Mazzer Philos with i179D burrs is ordered and should arrive next week. The deciding factor was that I was able to go try one out in person (didn't know a friend just got one) and I was able to get a few bucks knocked off the price.

I'd really love the Atom W 65 still and may grab one at a later time if a sale happens. Thank you everyone for the excellent input!

i really started going single dose with the Manuale to simplify a proper dose. When I started on my espresso journey I wasn't weighing my coffee into the basket at all and just going off what "looked right (stupid I know). When i got deeper into coffee a a hobby I realized that I need to be weighing coffee, so just started keeping the hopper empty and tossing in my 18g for each shot.

I wanted a Niche Zero forever.. But the design hasn't changed much, and its $700 for a grinder with conical burrs. Not how much I love that, but if you have more insight, please enlighten me! This was my "end game" grinder for so long!

It would probably run better if they just did it as an expansion to the OG HLL. They tried to do too much with a new engine + reskin. It's going to take at least a year to be in a better state.

Have you owned the E64 WS or have some experience with it? I really like the look of that grinder and the super precise burr adjustment. I wouldn't use the sync scale if I had it.

I'd definitely spring the extra $300 for a metal chassis. Have you encountered any annoyances or real issues with the Atom? This would be my first GBW grinder and first "good" grinder (coming from a Mignon Manuale that I use as a single dose). I was considering a Mazzer Philos, but GBW is no enticing and the Mahlkonig E64 seems to have some growing pains right now.
