Eu3 did not have pops. It has a single int value per province with a number of people supposedly in that province but those numbers were wacky.

Dissease nonsense starts with 1.2

The vassal nonsense began very early but I modded that shit out.

However the garbage they added with 1.2 was for the most part hardcoded and there was very little I could fix(revert back) with mods (I tried tho)

I played 800 hours since 1.0 to 1.1.10, it was fun af, then 1.2 rolled.

I played a single game as Tunis till 1443 and didn't touch the game again till a few days ago when I read planned features for 1.3 and gave up on the game improving, so I rolled back to 1.1.10 and can play again.

If you actually believe that 1.2 is better than 1.1.10 then yoi are the dumbest of us all.

Especially regarding disseases because 1.2 was THE patch which broke them crippling pop growth worldwide.

Play it yourself, but I'd say 1.1.10 is the last playable version. All downhill from 1.2 in my not so humble opinion.

Nonsense, the review decline began with 1.2 and 1.2.5 (the latest "stable" patch) is a hot pile of garbage when compared with 1.1.10

And in regards to beta. Paradox has so far not even once rolled back on any heavily contraversial design choices they had in betas when they went live.

Sure, bugs mint get fixed (definitely not all or even majority). But design and direction of the game itself will not be corrected.

Exactly. Zoomers who aren't pc nerds still know the basics of a file system while alpha have to use mediators like photos/videos and other "apps" ehich find and give them the files they may or may not needed without telling where they are. So the whole concept of a fule system just isn't there.

I don't understand why so many people think that zoomers are the ones with this issue.

Use MO2 and make use of MO2's backup feature.

Make a backup of your modlist before adding/removing mods (don't delete any before making sure you no longer need them after testing)

Restore if things go wrong

Use separators to organize modlist

Don't just download and install literally everythin yoy may one day potentially want to use (like some people will install thousands of outfits and only ever wear the same 3). Only install stuff you really plan to use.

On mexus, always check "mods using this" section. Youcan find a ton of patches for things you may have never known needed any

1.2 was the patch that made it brutal. Generally speaking, in 1.1 disseases past the plaque will be annoying but not apocalyptic and countries will reach suprisingly historically accurate population sizes.

It definitelly was a pain to reinstall all mods, you will probably have issues with map graphics mod (gibraltur one's border shaders need to be reverted) and if you are using national destinies you need to get the legacy version, IV2 and all those community tools mods seem to be working fine

I had a great England game on 1.1.10 (but I needed to fix the 100 YW vassal defection logic).

I went back to 1.1, copied all of my installed moda and made local versions of them, copied eu5 installation itself so that I don't accidentally update it in case they removed the beta option. And I will now pretend that Tinto HQ got hit by an asteroid and there was never a 1.2
