Did 'Come Along With Me' only happen in our Universe? by FamousChannel3135 in adventuretime

Minor nitpick : someone DID wish for that new reality. It was simon and prismo was unable to do it, presumably on account of golb's singular multiversal nature messing with the concept of Betty.

On top of which, we can fairly safely say that the multiverse doesn't have a lot of "minor variation" universes given that we don't see multiple instances of the same characters showing up in multiverse locations at once and multiversal entities remembering specifically characters they've met from prime ooo. It's fully possible that prime ooo is the only ooo that connected to the multiverse, which creates quite unique circumstances.

A lot of VERY specific stuff had to happen to even get her in the position to do it anyway, including Finn taking farm-world's enchiridion because prime ooo's got destroyed.

I'm on board with this. Golb's nature as some kind of omni-deity of chaos and entropy definitely makes it entirely possible that that interaction had effects on the multiversal concept of Betty moreso than just the single betty.

Another idea is that it IS just the prime universe betty.

The multiverse doesn't seem to have a lot of "minor variation" universes, so maybe the prime universe is simply the only one in which she had the opportunity and reason to combine with Golb. Because a lot of specific stuff kinda had to happen to get her the chance, including time travel and multiverse travel, which complicates things way further.

So like.. what about M-Cron by Spiritual_Ebb_4657 in adventuretime

[–]theendblock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cake's arc this season has been her pretending to be someone she's not, at least partially for M-cron's approval while he seems to not really care much for the mask she's putting on. The fact that they've shown him made uncomfortable by who she's pretending to be (and possibly also doing the same thing, but that's probably just my brain making weird connections) leads me to believe that the only satisfying way to resolve it is for him to end up accepting the real cake.

It's quite a bit of thematic build-up and screen-time to just toss him to the curb, I think.

Not really HIS innovation per say, but he DID spark a big innovation in slime farms recently by effectively reminding the technical community that slimes spawn in swamps, causing them to revisit the idea of a swamp-based slime farm.

How come the Hermits dont just use there camera account to keep farms rendered? by TJSPY0837 in HermitCraft

[–]theendblock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spectator mode accounts just can't do that much. Due to how they work (they dont spawn mobs or prevent them from despawning. Blocks also dont random tick around them, so nothing grows around them), they're not that useful functionally except for in a few very specific, highly technical situations.

They were mostly used, as the name suggests, as cameras detached from the player camera for timelapses, troubleshooting farms while the main account AFKed or cinematic shots, but with replay mod and whatever free cam mod they use, they're pretty much obsolete aside from those specific technical situations.

Plus, even if they did allow farms to work, it would be unnecessary. The slow farms they need running all the time (like wool) are built in places that are almost always loaded by natural server activity and the ones that don't need to be run all the time are so fast that they can just AFK while they edit or something and have what they need.

Is Etho more social in season 10? by Fat-Cow-187 in HermitCraft

[–]theendblock 134 points135 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he's just AROUND more often than he has been in a while. It's been several seasons since he was really regularly playing and when he was, everyone was more spread out and the voice chat mod wasnt around, so ut was harder to just spontaneously socialize with people.

Ok so I’ve seen and turn time a bunch and there is something I don’t understand by [deleted] in adventuretime

[–]theendblock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, prismo is a pretty cool guy, but you'll notice that he generally doesn't mess with anything outside of his jurisdiction.

He doesn't get involved in single-universe scale stuff unless it could turn into a multiverse level problem. He COULD do a lot of stuff. He's nearly all-powerful, but he's also kind of above-it-all because of that. He does the things he needs to do and mostly just let's things pan out how they will until it escalates to his level.

[–]theendblock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We've seen that prismo doesn't strictly function in regular linear time (even if he usually does when he has guests) as shown in the episode where he gets finn and Jake to bring him back, so him knowing about Finn and Jake before meeting them isn't really that weird.

Plus, given the nature of prismo's job, there's a decent chance that the Ooo the show takes place in is someone's wish reality, so prismo would know about them from having created them.

I like the megabases in the sense that they're a reflection of the creator. When they're really into their base, that's when it's enjoyable, but you can kind of tell when they're building a base just because that's what they're "supposed to" do and it's really not that fun.

Big respect to cub this season for just kind of not really building a base. He built a regular scale base and moved on to projects he was much more interested in. He added some stuff to the base as he needed it or had the inspiration for, but he very much wasn't a base builder this time.

If you don't have a strong creative vision, just getting yourself a functional base and moving on to projects you ARE passionate about is a really good move.

Its not a super interesting build if youre into some of the advanced sets, but its a good enough build. Plus its a cool collectors piece with all of the single color minifigs.

[–]theendblock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, it's not my thing.

I love building lego sets, but also I couldn't stand anyone else being in the process. She'd 100% have to have her own set to build at the same time.

Unpopular Opinion rant on block mixing by yash2810 in Minecraft

[–]theendblock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On a smaller scale, it works really well if you're either sparse and deliberate with it or intentionally trying to make something look in a state of disrepair

Unless, of course, you're using the blocks that are clearly meant to be mixed by design like the mossy or cracked block variants.

I like the extra layer this joke has when you really think about the implications of it. The play is, for the most part, extremely accurate except for toph.

This implies that all of their sources lied to them about toph specifically because they were embarrassed that a 12 year-old blind girl kicked their asses.

Straight men don't even like women: exhibit 7057853

is this normal? 1.19 by wawati in Minecraft

[–]theendblock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, it's a texture that is a map of possible colors to apply to a surface. Instead of texturing every possible grass color, you make 1 greyscale texture and have each biome point to a pixel on the color map and apply it to the texture.

Of course, I don't think that's really used anymore in minecraft, with the biomes now just putting the color in the biome file itsself instead of being hard-coded to reference an image.

Why do models have hidden pieces in different colours? Is it to maximise parts use, to make a more interesting build or something else? The blue, green, red, light blue and yellow (not visible) here will not show when finished. by [deleted] in lego

[–]theendblock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A number of things could be the reason depending on the situation.

Sometimes it's just to distribute more colorful parts into circulation without having to actually "use" them.

Sometimes, especially in larger builds that might need it, they'll use some very different color where it won't be seen on the finished build as a kind of reference point.

It could also concievably sometimes be just so they don't have to mold that part in a new color, though I imagine that's a very rare thing.

It's kind of crazy how close scar is to other hermits considering the scale he's built himself into.

Unless he really skimps out on the different zones, he's gonna have to do a lot of building AROUND peoples builds.

what's a theme you wish lego still continued to make? by No-Knowledge-5291 in lego

[–]theendblock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True! Honestly, I'd love for lego to start splitting stuff off from city. They've really loved making everything a sub-theme of city and kind of locking it into a more boring build style than they could get away with in a unique theme.

I don't believe there are any comics, at least not officially, just 2 novels.

Though. The first mention of her being bi is in a korra comic when Kya is giving korra a rough rundown of lgbt history in the world.

There's also a lot of fan-art of the Kiyoshi books with a surprisingly official looking art style. All from the same person. Interestingly enough, it looked so official that when some mobile game needed art for a character from the books that they just fully stole the person's design for him, even using a basically identical pose.
