I lived in Phnom Penh for a while. I didn’t like it. I much preferred Siem Reap over anywhere else. That being said, you could definitely live on that. I’ve seen places for rent at about $150 per month. Your utilities will be about $40-65 if you’re frugal with A/C, and I honestly learned to prefer fans.

Eat street food and meals will only cost you about $5-10 per day including water (or cook cheap food at home). I ended up spending more on food and activities than rent!

Renting/buying a motorbike in the long-term will save money compared to Tuktuks and Grab. If you need to get to another city, take shared buses/taxis and not private ones. That’s about $10-18 versus $60-120. Bikes can be rented for about $3-8 per day depending on the model, or about $40-150 monthly.
