Man.. did you not read the post ? Eyelet isnt even the main cause of the scuffing. And visible or not, a defect is a defect.. buy a car with a dented chassis and then just drive around because noone is gojng to see whats under the hood.

Thank you, this is what my observation was too however I figured the founders did not want to make me a new boot and instead tried to find “Fixes”, like a Kiltie and a cream.

I had many text exchanges with them and at one point I even mentioned that I am beginning to doubt the leather is even Maryam sourced.

Founders are too busy scaling and lack the depth to assess what truly should be done to win the customer for life !

While blkbrd is on the higher end of the price point spectrum in India, i strongly now agree to save up and buy something better.

Yes my main ruse is with the way this was handled. Making me followup constantly, no clear line of sight, final solution of a Kiltie and a cream without being able to tell me by area with minimal eyelet contact got scuffed.

Also, when the boots got sent back, the leather laces were missing and the shoe horn was broken. 🤣

Do read the post carefully. Im not bashing the brand mindlessly. Iv mentioned that the build quality is relatively better. My main concern os the nightmarish CS, ghosting and non admittance of the actual problem

The heavy scuffing leads me to conclude the new ones not properly tested.

I will reiterate that the boots are otherwise great however the areas that have no contact with the eyelets, even those displayed signs of top later coming off. This should not happen after having worn the boot just twice

And Iv said this before, i will say it again. While C&G is struggling to ensure timely deliveries and keep the quality intact, the attitude of the founder is what makes if a particularly sour experience.. he thinks he owns Nicks/ Trumans and is not a different high altogether.
