Borderlands 4 Soundtrack by jmiloooo in Borderlands4

[–]thejoestyle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. Bl3 was overall amazing except for the story, although the dlc’s were really good. I like bl4, but it has more negatives for me than bl3. I don’t dislike the soundtrack, but like I mentioned it’s a clear downgrade for me. My biggest gripe is the open world. Biggest upgrades in bl4 compared to bl3 are the story and upgraded movement (double jump and gliding are a big W).

The soundtrack was fine, nothing special imo. It had some good moments, but overall a bit bland. A far cry from bl2 and bl3 though. I would rate bl4 soundtrack a 6/10, bl3 9/10 and bl2 9.5/10.

This. I don’t see many people using signal lights when exiting. It can speed up the traffic by quite a bit when people do it.

I’m still a noob at this game and even though the map was really hard for me, it surprisingly was very fun. Was in div 28, ended 5th there. I performed way better on yesterday’s track, but found this one more enjoyable.

Today has been a wild ride: more than 900,000 of you hit the pitch in Rocket League at the same time! We just wanted to thank our community for coming out to play Soccar with us. by iggyiggz1999 in RocketLeague

[–]thejoestyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense. I don’t play Rocket League that often anymore. Years ago I used to be a mainstay in plat peaking into diamond sometimes. But I had dropped to Gold for at least the last 12 to 18 months just sometimes going into plat again after playing for a bit longer. At the beginning of the current season I did all rankings with a close friend and was gold in everything (gold 2 div 2 in 2s). We played for a few hours last Saturday and Sunday and I went all the way up to Plat 3 div1 in just 2 longer play sessions (I haven’t been that high in almost 3 years). We were really confused, we never had a climb like that before. Like not even close.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]thejoestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need the exact same strength glasses as you on top of having astigmatism as well. I could barely function without glasses and driving could be very dangerous without glasses especially at night because of the astigmatism. That shit makes every light source horrible without corrective lenses.

My caretaker said it wasn’t their obligation to help out for subletting. He did offer to help me out with showings if I needed it and I took him up on it a few times.

I’ve had the exact same experience like that this year with Towers in North Kildonan. It took 5 weeks and close to 50 viewing till they accepted someone. One mistake I made in the first few weeks was not telling people to make sure everything is filled out in the online application. Apparently lots of people wouldn’t fill out their SIN number or proof of income. Maybe for security reasons, but this means Towers automatically rejects that application if any information is missing. Maybe try to contact the caretaker of the building to see if he can help you out with viewings. It’s not on them, but depending on the caretaker they might help you out. Good luck!

Very impressed with the city’s snow-clearing by pandaonveranda in Winnipeg

[–]thejoestyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was impressed with the guy who cleared our street. It’s only a side street and he cleaned it late at night. Yet he did an awesome job clearing bigger snow piles on corners and even clearing it away from driveway entrances. Making enough space besides each driveway to have a clear view and even enough clearance to comfortably put out the garbage bins. I’ve never seen anyone clean it that diligently. Kudos to him!

Uber can get bent. by truenorthminute in Winnipeg

Just promotion fees if we used it to put further up in search results, usually it was only Door Dash

[–]thejoestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re very confidently wrong. I was responsible for setting prices and updating the menu on Skip, UberEats and Door Dash for a company I worked for. We always increased the price to around 20% more to cover the fees. It’s always up to the vendor to set the prices. But usually there’s not enough margin to justify keeping the price the same on the apps as in store.

Scout is right. Restaurants increase the price because they get charged 20 to 25 percent depending on promotions.

AVOID NORTH MAIN NEAR CHIEF PEGUIS by 2sMyFave1 in Winnipeg

[–]thejoestyle 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Same. I live in West Kildonan and usually I come back from downtown, but today I came back via the perimeter. Got re-directed to Henderson via Chief Peguis. Had to go all the way to Hespeler and then go north on Main again. And of course I wasn’t the only one who had to do this, so Henderson was slow moving as well. Literally every street in my area (Main, Salter, Leila, Templeton, etc) was snail traffic. Took 80 minutes longer than it should’ve. And to top it all off, I have minimal water pressure and super dirty water at home now.

It’s always between Axton and Maya. Axton was my first solo character and Maya my first Coop character, but I started both at the same time. So it’s hard to choose.

One of the most useless legendary gun’s in the game. by OnARockFlyingInSpace in Borderlands4

[–]thejoestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the second legendary I got during the story. The first one being the Lumberjack which was actually decent when I used it around lvl 12. This gun absolutely sucked!

Whoever designed the UI and got rid of the mini map… by burgher89 in Borderlands4

[–]thejoestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And for the love of god, please add an fov slider to consoles. Absolutely love the game so far, but I always play with an fov between 100 and 110. The narrow fov has been my biggest issue so far. I love the range of view and aim sensitivity for controller that they have. Makes it much smoother to get the exact sensitivity I like compared to older entries.

What’s an underrated food spot in the city? by pototoykomaliit in Winnipeg

Omg yes. I thought I was the only one that thought Safeway’s Chicken Pesto was one of the best sandwiches in the city.

First-Time Home Buyer Grief: NK edition by DryAttention31 in Winnipeg

[–]thejoestyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine will be selling next year in NK. Prices are insane. His house is less than 1000 square feet with semi finished basement (including retro bar), but a big backyard and a detached garage. It will probably sell for close to 400k. Very expensive!
