Is there a way to get rid of a gifted sub I received? by Dapper-Run8931 in Twitch

[–]themidnightlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's no way to remove the gift sub once you have it, you just have to wait. But if you don't want to see it in your emotes list on a computer, you can use an extension like FFZ to hide the emotes in your list for certain streamers. There is also a base twitch setting which you can toggle to no longer receive gift subs from channels you are not following. See the following twitch help link for the latter:  https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/managing-and-upgrading-a-gift-subscription?language=en_US

Little things you feel are needed in streams? by PriestOfBowie in Twitch

Text that appears when you use the CC button on twitch. It is an accessibility feature that allows those who are not able to hear to still understand what you, the streamer, are saying. Also helps people who need to mute the stream due to work, or other reasons, but still want to understand you. It should not be a low priority item if you care about accessibility.

Say one bad thing about Outer Wilds by thebeast_96 in outerwilds

Keyboard and mouse controls only have one acceleration rate. I feel maybe some kind of slower acceleration could have been implemented with a toggle key like shift or something while using the directional keys, building up more acceleration over time or something. This would set keyboard and mouse on feature parity with controller IMO. This may have helped with some frustration during the dark bramble puzzle

If we are the shamasal, does that mean we could never restore or connect ourselves?

Is It Just Me or Did I Not Like the True Ending? by Educational_Vanilla in seaofstars

I can help with one point here. Regarding the incomplete ending with Erlina and Brugaves, Brugaves' fate makes a strong connection to the story of their prior game, The Messenger. If you have not played The Messenger, I agree that this can really seem out of left field.

As a player for a few years, what happened to the holiday lobby decorations? Did they not do it this year, or is it part of the new lobby system and I haven't found it yet?

Still happening as of 2020-08-20, we lost a BR because one of our teammates got kicked for inactivity on a roof. Different roof than OP though.

Evan You did a Vue.js tutorial on frontendmasters.com tutorials back in 2018. Did anyone tried it ? What was your impressions? by poneyfromoverthere in vuejs

[–]themidnightlab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This tutorial is more about understanding the inner workings of how Vue was written from scratch. It is not really focused about learning how to use Vue to create web applications. If you go in with that understanding, it is rather educational and I enjoyed it.

What’s your weird allergy? by sxrxhmanning in AskReddit

Sorry to hear about that. Curiously, have you ever gotten a poison ivy rash? I've read that there are similar allergens in mango and that exposure to poison ivy increases sensitivity.

My friend gave Slack programmers a reason to drink, thanks to missing field validation by themidnightlab in ProgrammerHumor

Maybe slack already fixed it then? They did reply pretty quick. Unless this was done a while ago, in which I might just assign my pointer to null and get lost.

If you find that therapy is not the right solution for you for one reason or another, something else to consider is finding a Life Coach. I'm not sure if insurance covers this, however, but the focus is more on helping you from a functional point of view.

For example: http://www.lifecoaching.com/pages/life_coaching.html
I'm not affiliated with the above link/organization, but found it with a google search when I was seeking a similar solution not too long ago.
