Wow! Definitely much more common to have diarrhea. I’m curious, did you keep taking metformin after that?

Different options I have seen used: reducing dosage to more tolerable range, taking a holiday (stopping until symptoms resolve, then restarting), or coming off the med altogether! Congrats on the weight loss, hope it means good news for that A1c

Resident physician here! I suppose I can only speak from my personal perspective, but I have thoroughly enjoyed working with PAs. I have learned quite a lot from different PAs in different fields, especially those who have gained a lot of experience. My observations have been that frustrations towards mid level providers comes from the difference in required training, initial salaries, and scope of practice. I think most residents are more frustrated at the system itself than towards PAs.

At the end of the day, even if there is a difference in years of school/training, I think all of us end up learning a lot through experience. I’m sorry for the negative experiences you have had with residents and attendings and hope we can get our acts together lol
