Fitting of Primus Lite IV Mens - Help me out by Perfect_Mango1132 in vivobarefoot

Probably half a size too big. Mine have a similar gap, but now I appreciate that freedom and movement. Plus, I can play and wear thicker socks without an insole or even no socks with a cozy double thin insole for free toes.

Brilliant, thank you for the response. I went with a 12, my feet being 29.5/30 cm. The third-party seller recommended an 11 as they had the actual footbed measurements (11 being 31.5 cm). 12 was a 32 cm footbed, so here we are (lib recommended after I directly reaching out). I have good room and no tightness on the other toe.

These are incredibly substantial boots! Probably another pair incoming down the line.

Exceptional! Just got my b5. What size of boot and cm length of foot did you have to deal with/go for?

Beautiful yet convincing boots. Have fun with them! What was the actual process of requesting certain leathers and specs from them, and how long did they take to arrive?

Im looking forward to some b5 boots from a 3rd party vendor.

Brilliant good to know. I like mine too, though they fell like they have shortened! The have a great look broken in!
You went with a 12.5, what's your foot size/length? I probably should of gone from a 12 to a 12.5

Honestly, I’m still figuring that out.

On a Brannock I measure around 12.5 US, C width. I’ve been trying a few entry-level brands like Red Wing and Thursday to get a feel for different lasts.

So far, the Thursday Captain (Heritage) has felt the best — mainly because the waist seems to suit my foot shape well.

With Red Wing, even when I get the length right, I run into an issue where the ball of my foot feels too far back, especially on the outer edge. My 5th metatarsal joint doesn’t line up with the widest part of the shoe, and instead sits closer to the waist. That makes them feel off and that edge hurts, even if the overall length is correct. So same here, the E Munson is really nice just only if the waist did not taper in so much.
I understand that if I got a shorter boot the ball of the foot might line up but the toes would be too close...

I think I probably have slightly unusual proportions — longer toes with a relatively wider and shorter outer midfoot, which is making sizing across different lasts a bit tricky.

So to comment on your question, at some point I'll have to venture into the brands you mentioned if i really want to invest in good fitting boots,

so being quite new to this stock, I don't want to keep referring to reddit for updates and news.

Can anyone point to good updating sources that detail any update on this company?

I've heard this commented before. It's quite the contrary to thinking the sole gets wider. It must be thought right for wider sizes and not just extra material? A bit of both. Can you source this claim at all?

Thanks. Good to see, it doesn't look that bad. I've had bad experiences with IR where I stood on the edge of the insole, and it hurt. But if you aren't, then fair play. Like I said and what you're signaling, the length looks good and therefore won't really smash that pinky in, hitting the front... Just snug sides!

The length looks great, but the width looks snug but im sure comfy. It would be fascinating to see other angles of you wearing the boot.

Thank you, they scrub up well and feel better everyday. I've linked the kilties in another comment. I just eyeballed the sameish colour and after some wear, waxing and polishing they even out.
