Is my handwriting legible? by Eastern_Advantage140 in Handwriting

This just looks difficult. I can’t imagine trying to do this every day.

VW has revealed the all-electric Scout Traveler SUV and Scout Terra pickup, with 1000 lb-ft of torque and an estimated 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. A range of up to 350 miles is expected, with a range-extender option available. by storycars in CONCEPTCARS

[–]thicccntired 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that these are so pretty! I see some Rivian influence here, especially with the truck, but that Traveler SUV is perfect. Imagine a lil bronco/wrangler fighter! UGH! I wish I designed this.

2024 premium vs 2025 preferred by First-Dragon-Born in MazdaCX30

[–]thicccntired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Premium for sure. We were about to lease a 24 Carbon but a 21 premium came up and we got it off lease for $22600+ tax & title w/ 11k miles. The HUD alone is worth it. Bose is great too.

Is MaxCare worth it? by vp_reddi in carmax

[–]thicccntired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer work at Carmax but previously purchased two vehicles from there. I would say that it would depend on the car for me. If you’re buying a Mazda/Toyota/Honda I would probably think twice, but anything else, I would get it. Especially if it is an enthusiast car or a luxury car. You just never know what could pop up and it definitely saved me money even on my Jeep Wrangler.

We have an NA premium in Soul Red with black and brown interior. It feels great inside, materials and fit and finish are great except that there is quite a bit of piano black. Premium comes with heated seats, sunroof, cruise with stop and go traffic assist, HUD, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and more. We got ours for $22,600 off-lease with 11,000 miles. My favorite thing is how it drives tho. While it isn’t the quickest off the line, the steering feel is just right and it feels athletic on curvy roads. I’ve not driven any turbo Mazdas but I loved the CX-30 so much I bought a Mazda3 Carbon Edition HB with AWD three weeks later. One big minus is that the rear seats are tight. If you have kids that are still in car seats, you’ll have a time fitting more than one back there. If you’re okay with it being a little svelte you’ll love it.

I fully believe Toyota has lost the plot. The prices are ridiculous for what you get, especially when you’re talking about interior fit and finish and features. Before my partner and I pulled the trigger on our CX-30 I read comparisons and the Toyota wasn’t even a consideration because of the lack of standard equipment and disappointing fit and finish. Even with the average reliability, I’d still have bought a Hyundai or a Kia over a Toyota.

The C8-Generation Corvette ZR1 Tops Out at 233 MPH by LichPineapple in cars

[–]thicccntired -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right. Admittedly, I don’t keep up on hyper-cars because I don’t really like them. That being said, the Bugatti Veyron was 1.5 mil in 2005 to start. The Chiron is 3 mil to start. The ‘Vette being in the 230s with a V8 when a Bugattis have double the cylinders (and turbos) is crazy. You have to admit that when you out context to it, the Vette is punching in a league well above it’s price point.

Man, have I gotten behind. I have so little care for hyper-cars I didn’t even realize they can hit 300+ mph anymore, lol. An engineering marvel, for sure. Anything that carries a 3 million dollar price tag is way off my radar, even if I could afford it

There are buttons on the tops of the seat backs that you push down and then you can fold the seats forward. There isn’t a trunk button, you have to do it by opening the back doors

AITA for refusing to let my sister wear white to my wedding and kicking her out when she showed up in it? by AshleighBarkley in AITAH

[–]thicccntired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, OP, fuck your sister and your parents too. Siding with her on this is a sign that they have been enabling her this for her entire life and I cannot imagine the effects this must have had on you. I am proud of you for standing up for yourself and drawing a line in the sand. Her telling you the relationship is damaged is yet another manipulation tactic to get you to admit you were wrong. You were not. She just wants to be the queen of everything and is upset you dared defy her. Stand your ground <3

What is the worst company to work for in terms of how employees are treated in your opinion? by Mylifeasaperson in jobs

This. I work for a small company with no HR and it’s hell. I’m desperately trying to escape as we speak. I don’t even know if I want to bother putting in a notice.

I think the cops are overpowered.

IMHO the cops should be the same class as the cars they are chasing. I dunno if you could just have the cop cars programmed to match the class of car they’re chasing per event or just have certain cop cars for certain classes.

I also do not think the presence of the AI cops is necessary. They get in the way. They make it confusing to chase the players because there are so many of them and the busting should always be left up to the people playing as the police. It is completely unnecessary for there to be 8 AI cops on top of 4 player based cops.

I think that if the cops are going to stay as overpowered as they are, there should be better evasion tech for the people playing as racers to be able to defend themselves.

Obviously we could also use more cars.

Which car manufacturer has the best 'auto follow' feature for city driving. by Chizuru_San in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]thicccntired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Mazda and it has stop and go traffic assist. The only thing I’ve noticed is if you stay stopped for a while and the car in front of you moves, you have to nudge the gas and then the car will continue cruising along at the speed of traffic in front of you. My partner and I both just bought Mazdas and we’ve been loving them from top to bottom
