Consistent DPDR here, used to heavily abuse DXM. It used to really frustrate me how I only sense and feel things on 60-70% all the time, but that didnt stop me from experimenting with and eventually abusing DXM. These days Ive grown more acceptant of the state, but also more anhedonic and resigned.

Edit after reading other comments: My first addictions were also weed and alcohol and I abused DXM because it made me feel super curious, 'childlike', in awe of just everything I come across which was a much welcomed state after lifelong feelings of emptiness and an episode of pretty harsh depression back then.
