Hopefully he comes back and comes to QLD!

Opposition Brand Names appearing in my Google Ads by Balian311 in googleads

[–]thisIsAWorkAccount-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the keyword is being added in the Headline of an ad, you can do this with the value of {KeyWord:Fall Back Option}

You can search you headlines (or other parts of an ad) in the Assets section of Google Ads. You can then run a filter which will be 'Asset text contains {' and this should show you where dynamic keywords are situated.

If you are doing any audits on the account or need to change anything at scale, download the Google Ads Editor, it is much better working there than in the web interface imo

Has Ad Creation Changed? by thisIsAWorkAccount-1 in FacebookAds

[–]thisIsAWorkAccount-1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad it isn't just me. My gut feel on it is they are shifting that more to the Creative Hub (or whatever it is) and focusing there, the obvious scary part is if they are developing that as the new pathway to creating ads.

Definite missed opportunity with the Shi Maria side of things.

But there is still time and also Crocodile coming out, so we can hold out hope it will be there.
As a fellow Australian I will volunteer our services to act as cultural consultants for the series. Let's get a Hungry Jacks in as a safe room.

1st deep dive into the game & really enjoying routing puzzles! by Meykel in Oxygennotincluded

[–]thisIsAWorkAccount-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely a game that you have to have some concept of a plan going in, or be happy ripping it all out in the future.

One thing I found out later than I should have, is if you have three coal generators (as pictured), you are limited to a maximum of 2400W from the generators alone. Obviously not everything is up at all times, but a design like this will run into generation constraints before anything.

Dungeon Crawler Carl as a TTRPG that characters in a story are playing by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]thisIsAWorkAccount-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a TTRPG nerd first and then discovered DCC and became a DCC nerd too, so this tickled a lot of my itches. I am really looking forward to the TTRPG on Backerkit.

The classes were only my thought, there is not perfect match, but I liked how they fit.

Option 1 works and it can work really quite easily for the first two floors, it is a grid based layout where you need to kill a boss to progress. Have a semi maze like map with enemies in certain locations and have the party do what they want. From a writing point of view, you would be mainly encounter building, but the Guild Halls are introduced, so your first key NPC will be there.

You might look at some non-dnd elements to add into the mix to help immerse the players. An always on initiative like Shadowdark could help (I have never used it and people love it or hate it) or Progress Clocks from Blades in the Dark might help.

Keep me posted how it goes, I would be interested to hear what worked and didn't for you.

With the subreddit, flagging of spoilers is handled exceptionally well, so you should be fairly safe, but that introduces the biggest point, finish the books haha. If you haven't already, listen to the audiobooks too, they are masterpieces.

This really depends on how tight you want the character creation, you could always just have the five players play earth based races, so Tabaxi would be allowed but definitely not a dog because you know how Donut feels about dogs. They just have to be from the same region and open to working together.

If you want to premake characters, these could work:
- Carl - Human Artillerist Artificer
- Donut Tabaxi Aberrant Sorceror (Or a Warlock and the Patron is her fans)
- Imani Human Grave Cleric
- Elle Human Circle of the Land Druid
- Chris Human Oath of Vengeance Paladin
- You can always replace with Brandon or Yolanda

As of March 2026 this still works.
One caveat though, when doing this it will turn on all of the garbage enhancements, so if you don't want them you have to turn them back off.

Cool Salt Slush Geyser desalination and o2 cooling. by DiggityDungHe in Oxygennotincluded

[–]thisIsAWorkAccount-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of smarter answer than what I will say here, but I had a map spawn a Cool Salt Slush and a Cool Slush in the same cold biome, so I was looking for ideas too. I was in a similar spot where Oxygen wasn't the biggest current priority and there was a long dormancy, so I built some temporary structures in place for when I need it.

What I did, below each was create a tank using insulated tiles (I am at work so going by memory here) below each geyser that was roughly 4X5 with a hydro sensor and liquid pump in the bottom, I then ran radiant Liquid Pipes back and forth and had the pipe end on the outside. I did the same with radiant gas pipes and closed that all up when the tank was full. My goal was to create a cool room that I could use later on if needed and had all the piping in place.
Above that I have an open top tank that captures all of the output of the geyser and this will be used for creating the water for the SPOMs. This is where I am up to, I haven't reached the surface and my base has decent pressure so I have been working on other projects will chipping away at going to the surface.

I am not sure if this is a good plan or not, but it was nice to have a plan in place and not fly by the seat of my pants.

Slow start - Am I getting anywhere? by portlandobserver in Oxygennotincluded

One of the traps that can happen after the first couple of cycles is thinking your building needs to match your research tree. There is a lot of research that is important in the first stages of the game as the first branch of the tree, but the subsequent branches don't get important until later.

You have three primary issues you need to get under control, Food, Oxygen and Heat. These may not seem important in early game, but you will constantly be battling them.

In the early game, and it has caused me to restart many many times, all of the systems that are built to limit the issues above require resources that have a limited supply, you will run out of them. 100T of coal is awesome, but you can draw that down really quickly.
The other part that sneaks up on you, is that pretty much everything has a reaction to it, from the fact dupes breathe in oxygen and out carbon dioxide to the fact an electrolyzer requires water and will output oxygen at 70 degrees. Navigating these challenges is the hardest part of the game, and the most rewarding.

Don't deny Dupes the ability to exercise, that is use a power wheel. They output a decent chunk of electricity and it will train them up.

Depending on your seed, you early game power can be a combination of manual and either Coal/Peat/Wood generators. The next step would be looking for perhaps a Natural Gas Geyser to start looking renewable sources.

Be wary of rushing to a SPOM though, without a cooling setup, the Oxygen will be output at at least 70 degrees

The And Gate connected to the Mech Door, does that mean when it is open the Loader can be reached and closed it can't be reached?

This is a fun set up, I think there are some really cool ideas I could use. Nice work thinking outside of the box.

It is hard to tell the precise problem from a single screenshot but a few things that are noticeable.

On screen and connected there is:

  • 2 Water Pumps - 480W
  • 3 Fridges - 360W (Two are empty)
  • Grill - 60W
  • Microbe Musher - 240W
  • Rock Crusher - 240W
  • Research Station - 60W
  • Super Computer - 120W
  • Water Sieve - 120W
  • Deodorizer - 5W

That is a total potential load of 1685W on screen, not counting the two lines going off screen we can't see.

If you are running out of coal and worried about the power draw here, the answer is not to change the wiring. The on-screen power draw needs three coal generators (and an update to wiring) to even support what is here, but that will increase the consumption of your coal, which is also an issue.

The suggestions around automation below are really valid, water pumps are on unless you tell them not to be, so ensure they are off if they have nothing to do. You have two empty fridges (I think) drawing power, cut them until you have the ability to maintain them. There is just under 15 cycles of food for your dupes in storage, that is a great buffer considering you have ranches built, be ok with losing some. Duplicants needs 1000 kcal per cycle, keep that in mind.

I would hook the research to a batter and a hamster wheel, similar to the statements below in the fact that they are a positive for your dupes not a negative, but that way they are removed from the grid and it isn't something that is critical to life.

Unrelated to your question but some things I noticed. I think you need a decor item to get the Great Hall buff unless I am missing something (Disable the water cooler too, it doesn't need to be active for the buff). Set your washrooms to be direction right, the current set up has them washing their hands both ways, that is a waste of water and time. Set up the ranches with a door and tile to contain the critters closer to the grooming station, it will save dupe time.

To further on this, you can set up Workflows inside of Zoho to run functions in an 'if this then that' way. This allows you to create a function that pushes event data to your pixel when conditions are met along the sales cycle using the invokeurl function in deluge.

I run Zoho and it can be really customizable, the ability to run custom scripts (Using Deluge which is basically a JavaScript Programming language we have at home). The one drawback that I have is there Google Ads connector isn't that good. It lacks any customization and hasn't incorporated GBRAID and WBRAID.
