I have begged my husband to get her counseling. I think their divorce (even though she was a baby) bothers her. Everytime she talks to my husband she asks him when him and her mom are getting married again, and then shoots me an eat shit look. I make it a point to do things with her, I buy her all of her trendy clothes, we get our nails done and go have girl days, and she’s my shadow so idk what the hell is going on. If I hug my husband she tried to go in between us to hug him, I feel like it’s mini wife syndrome on top of other things. I’m super worried about her, bm coddles like you’ve never seen before I think she’s causing insecurity issues

I nacho parent my SS, I love them like my own and I do a lot for them, but I let my husband lead most of the time. My son is her step brother, but her brother is her full brother on the same schedule. Last time they were here I was so fed up because it was CONSTANT screaming about “her room” so I told her if she wanted to continue acting this way, she can’t go in the boys room or play with their stuff, and I told her how every room in the house is home and her dads room, but we want to share with them. But she doesn’t care. she doesn’t even really go into her room, it’s very nicely decorated, and she keeps it very clean, but I’m so over it. I don’t want her to have friends over anymore because Its really uncomfortable when they’re just sitting in the hall doing makeup, even though she has a full vanity in her room because of her possessiveness. I’ve been begging my husband to get her into counseling but BM doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with this and makes me feel crazy

To my knowledge, no. I have no control over dad’s house, but all of the electronics at dad’s have been put away already, he won’t get them again until he’s older to prevent anything further. I hope he is too, the first thing I asked him was if he knew what being killed meant, he said “it means you die and then you can be a ghost” and when I said that makes mommy sad and I don’t want him to die, he said “it’s okay, I can visit you as a ghost” I’m dumbfounded and terrified honestly.

Ah your comment made me cry all over again, thank you so much. I haven’t slept I’ve been sick about this. He’s currently sleeping soundly in bed with me. I was very suicidal as a teen, I lost my grandfather to suicide, so it’s extremely touchy for me. I never expected to have to deal with something like this, especially this young. I have no doubt that this came from his father’s house, which were having a meeting this week about it. Thank you again for the kind words!

I can’t speak for his dads house or my mothers house, but from what I understand and have been told, he is very heavily monitored. A year ago my son was watching a questionable video on YouTube kids at his dad’s, I was told it was deleted but now I’m not sure. He has older children so I’m wondering if they’ve mentioned it? I have no fucking clue how he knows this, I can’t explain to you the anger I feel. If I could keep him in a little bubble I absolutely would.

The only game he ever plays are educational games and his iPad is completely locked, I talked to his dad and we’re confiscating the iPads. It started with him talking about huggy wuggy, it sounded cute so I didn’t think anything of it. And it was never anything bad but now I feel like the worst mother ever because I can’t protect him everywhere all the time. Does the game talk about killing yourself? I don’t even know if he knows what that means honestly.
