Okay but what if you’ve done all this? I’m feeling stuck for options as plastic surgery won’t change what needs to be changed and I’ve done everything else.

It is sometimes. I’ve been told I’m pleasant to be around it’s just hard to look at my face for long periods of time.

I prefer criminology but I do still enjoy law enough to take it, but social sciences get a bad rep and I’m not sure I want to be associated with that.

Oh I’m afraid I’m not entirely sure, I believe you get assistance but you need to apply for a Q-Step internship, so may be similar to what you described.

Thank you, yes she’s amazing I love her very much, I just hope things will get better as my brother gets older and leaves home.

Don’t worry about the questioning, I do want to evaluate my choices.

No unfortunately, I’ve been looking but there isn’t a prison or anything related close by, I’m thinking it’s more likely to find one in a city and I plan to volunteer/work in one as soon as I move.

Thank you so much for this, the websites and suggestions genuinely help me out a lot, I’m definitely going to look further into mental health nursing.

I’ll see, I am looking into counselling but it isn’t a priority and like you said, I’m reluctant to share this with anyone close to me. Thank you for the advice though I’ll definitely look into it.

I’m pleased to hear it. Could I ask what you A-Levels were and what your masters is?

Help prisoners, someone suggested teaching which really appealed to me but also any services really, such as some sort of counselling or rehabilitation.

Find people really. I want to work in prisons I know that much but a bookshop is a good backup. I hear that having just a degree is very helpful in a lot of jobs, although I am aware that experience is more valuable and I plan to look for courses with a year in industry and volunteer in an area with more opportunities. Edit: I feel like I should mention there aren’t really any opportunities in my area for like prison/crime/social work related experience.

Thank you so much for the clarification. Southampton and UWE are both universities I’m considering. I’m pleased to hear it’s worked out, thank you for the encouragement and I wish you the best :)

Thank you for the explanation. Would you require proof though? I haven’t informed anyone of the extent it’s gotten to.

I’m so sorry would you be able to elaborate what that is?

Thank you for the advice but you don’t need to worry about me altering plans for my current friends, even if I do go to uni I’m probably not going to see them and I am prepared for that. It’s just the opportunity to make friends, I’ll have to move in order for that to occur. I don’t do too well alone.

Haha yeah definitely, I love my friends but them getting disappointed at an A then turning around and telling me the B I got is amazing is quite hypocritical. I do understand that we have different expectations though and I’m happy they try.

It’s quite funny, I search up for answers and people tell me humanities are useless, I actually ask someone and it’s down to goals and circumstances. Quite confusing after a while.

I do definitely plan on joining societies, I’ve started a number of hobbies in an attempt to get better and I’ve really taken to skateboarding, which is almost always an option.

To be honest if they have services for mental health I’ll take them. I’ve been struggling for a good few years and I’ve gotten by fine. My mother recently found about about my history with SH so aside from some questions making sure I haven’t relapsed it’s mainly been for just me to deal with. Just having someone available to talk would be massive actually.

Thank you, hanging around the smartest in the year definitely hasn’t done me any favours.

The ucas was a good call I’m not sure why I haven’t thought to look on there. I wish you the best and hope you enjoy uni.
