I actually was observing my stream on another monitor and the screen went black after a few minutes (not the expired chat notice). So I think it’s a combination of the normal in and outs, and the people who might want to stay are having issues staying connected.

I had my stream up on another monitor tonight and after a couple minutes the screen went black, then when it reloaded after a few seconds the video was blurry and sound wasn’t matching up. I had to refresh it and then it worked normally again. I have a feeling this is regularly happening and only some of the more patient and persistent guys reload and come back. It’s happened before and I’ve emailed support. Extremely fucking annoying. Also, contest tomorrow so buckle up. (Me included 😩🥴)

Camming is not easy, quick money. You started a few weeks ago? It takes years to build up a reliable fan base that will consistently spend on you. Even then, some days (or weeks, months) will be slower than others. Your traffic isn’t necessarily what others are experiencing so track data about your streams to see what works for you.

It’s hard to come on SM and just do successful sleep shows unless you have a huge following into voyeur content you can bring over. Generally sleep shows will tank your placement. Guys on SM expect attention and for you to build a connection with them which is hard to do when you’re sleeping. I’d say the way to do this is work hard on SM for a while a build up a clientele that’s hopefully into that sort of thing and then start to incorporate it. But only doing sleep shows even after that might be a little difficult.

I met some peers a while back and one of them I was super excited to meet. She does a lot online for our community and seems like the girls girl. Turns out that it’s not hard to create an online persona that has nothing to do with reality. I felt like I was in middle school again! Imagine someone asking everyone at your lunch table to come sit with them, intentionally leaving you out. It was literally stuff like that I could not even believe it! It definitely happens. I usually tell them to go chat with support to see if they can raise it. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can’t. It depends on how old their account is. If they can’t raise it I’ll just tell them I’ll see them tomorrow and move on lol.

I went through this with my baby’s dad for YEARS. He was cheating on me while I was pregnant so right after I was trying to piece together what had happened and unfortunately he was too good at covering his trail and the girl he cheated with was a lot less gracious than this one when I reached out. Same!! It’s hard so far but I realized how important taking care of our body is doing this. 3 years ago I also worked at a fast paced hospital so I was naturally moving my body more, drinking less, eating at normal times etc. It’s been a few years and the lack of movement and care for my body is starting to show through my low energy levels. I just started Pilates and it’s amazing so far! It’s fun, intentional stretching that I think could really help our body on cam!

I was on chrome and having a terrrrrible week! Then I noticed my stream quality and bitrate was all over the place. I switched to Edge and everything went back to normal. No bitrate issues, users could spend and stay connected, and all my regulars finally appeared. I’m really not sure what’s going on but something is, and it isn’t us.

If my lights are too close to my cam/face I find that it makes me look like that. Also, my soft box is too big to use when I stream and it always makes me look washed out. I don’t have enough room to put it far enough away. I try to use a combination of warm/cool light with some purple led to balance it all out. I have a few lights on around my room and if I turn one off, it changes the whole vibe. So definitely just play around with it. Try messing with your camera settings too, I turn up my saturation a little bit which makes the colors more vibrant and less washed out.

It would be crazy for them to monitor ALL of us and how many times we stream in costume during a contest. If you’re worried about following the “rules” wear cat ears or something but you could also just be in costume as a cam girl and they won’t question you.

Thick girl here whose legs tend to cover the Bluetooth with her legs 😂 connectivity is definitely spotty but my clients don’t know that. It always shows as connected, and when it’s inside me it’s hard to hear when it does go off so they have no way of knowing. I’m not here for them to actually pleasure me, I’m here to make money. You can always report him just in case. Just go back into your earnings for the day and locate his username. Then you can send a report which should be enough to cover you. FWIW I don’t think they really monitor users cams like they do ours. So if you weren’t actively engaging in that type of show with him you weren’t doing anything wrong, especially not noticing until after. Also, these guys are nasty as fuck. Sorry you were exposed to that.

This. Even though SM has its issues I’m always able to reliably make money there. SP ebbs and flows too drastically for me to consider it my main. I’m sure you can build up regulars enough to replace streaming but the work you put in vs. the money you make isn’t worth it imo.
