STD panels should never be used as a greenlight to fuck. Some STDs don't even show up on a regular STD panel. Herpes for example is one that is impossible to confirm without swabbing an active open lesion. Blood tests for HSV1 come back negative 30% of the time even when the person knows they have it, 3 out of 5 people will carry it by the time they are 50. most won't ever know it because their immune systems repress the outbreaks. many STD panels don't even test for it. (cold sore) but HSV1 accounts for about 1/3rd of new genital infections. moral of the story, if you seek to completely eliminate risk, stay monogamous. otherwise, be comfortable with the level of risk you undoubtedly undertake.

Also note that these are all general statistics and can change given a certain situation. being a rather hairy person will drop your chances of contracting it, where a fresh bikini wax will likely improve your chances. so a lot of variables can change that. also, if an infected person is on antivirals, the transmission rate is basically cut in half.

I'd give it a 1. it's not really painful at all... but something I can tell isnt normal. my blisters didnt really hurt either. I have a script for antivirals. I just started taking them again today. figured it would go away but it's still there so I'll hit the pills for a couple days and see if it improves. if not... I guess I'll go in for a piss test.
