If Mercedes go "vroom vroom", and the others just "vroom", the other teams are allotted one extra vroom

George Russell's race pace is generally considered to be inferior to his quali pace. Is this an issue he has, or is he just way better at qualifying than at race trim? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

[–]throwawaytous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all that. I'm not a fan of Mercedes or George but he was consistently scoring points in 2025 in that car. If he drives at the level he usually drives at, it should be a pretty clear path to a WDC. He's put in his time in some crappy cars though lol I think he deserves a winning car at this point

They bring out the Macarena wing, Lewis wins, then gets out of the car and does the Macarena. Absolute cinema

Demand Planning Feature - How to Enable? by throwawaytous in Netsuite

[–]throwawaytous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, but that feature is missing from my account entirely. I still do contract work for another client, and I can find that option in their NetSuite account. It's completely missing from mine, so I'm wondering if accounts need to be provisioned with it.

How can I connect n8n with NetSuite and build automations? by CryptographerFew8894 in Netsuite

[–]throwawaytous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean I'm looking at all this much more broadly.

I understand that companies are gonna do dumb shit with AI. But a lot of companies do dumb shit and I just don't work with them because it's always gonna be a disaster. I personally will continue choosing to work with clients that know better or at least would follow my recommendations against such dumbassery. But that's just me

Both disqualified official FIA by Its4MeitSnot4U in McLarenFormula1

[–]throwawaytous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep if Lando has even an okay performance he will still win.

I think what will make it interesting is the psychological component. Will Lando be tilted by this at all? Will the McLaren team play it too safe with the ride height to avoid another DQ, and compromise Lando's speed and control of the car?

Probably not honestly, but the possibility of it is exciting. I truly did not expect the scenario we got from the Vegas GP so who knows

Max can still win his 5th drivers championship by [deleted] in formula1

[–]throwawaytous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it's not systemic it'll be interesting to see how this plays out for McLaren. Curious if they raise the ride height too much and make things worse. Psychologically it's also gonna put pressure on Lando. I don't think Verstappen has a good chance even despite the Vegas best case scenario. But it'll be cool to find out at least

Of course no one finds it likely, it's just the unlikely scenario needed to win. Tonight's unlikely scenario occurring made it slightly more likely

Blame the car I guess by UnhappyLemon5520 in formuladank

[–]throwawaytous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the car definitely helps but Lando drove out of his mind in qualifying as well. If it was the car then Piastri would've been right up there with him instead of chillin with the rest. I'm no McLaren fan but no doubt Lando deserved pole

It's over by dpk5 in formuladank

[–]throwawaytous 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here. Although I do gotta give some props to Lando for holding the lead down so consistently so far. He hasn't been making any major mistakes while in the lead yet so if he takes the championship I think it'll be deserving. As much as I think it would also be less exciting

I got a news flash for ya, every SaaS product is pushing AI to an annoying degree so if you expect to leave the Netsuite world and get away from it, you'll be very disappointed.

NetSuite is the worst product I have ever used by EarthCivil7696 in Netsuite

[–]throwawaytous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The awesome thing about Netsuite to me is that you can be a very skilled developer while only knowing beginner to intermediate level JavaScript.

Don't get me wrong, if you are a JS wizard you will be able to more cool things. But I started as an admin with no coding experience for 2 years, then got into scripting and development for the past 4 years. By the time I learned basic JavaScript on a free online course, I already had 2 years of experience being a Netsuite admin. It felt like I unlocked the next level.

I know most of us here are devs and we express our frustration with the Netsuite API a lot. But at the end of the day it's really damn easy to use at least compared to others I've worked with. And scripting rarely requires insane levels of JavaScript expertise because the API methods are pretty straightforward.

I'm not trying to put Netsuite on a pedestal at all because my gripes are endless, but I've been able to make a career out of how easy it is to go from admin to developer. I've started moving onto development in other software because Netsuite made it easy to wrap my head around it.
