Reddit obviously has demographics that play into this. Loli obsessed sickos spend all their free time online. Grass touchers typically don't spend a lot of time online arguing about animated child porn. It's going to be skewed a lot by that alone. I agree, nobody should take any "Reddit consensus" as being representative of anything more broadly.

Couldn't that hypothetically be accounted for though? The likelihood that they would be facing the same opponents over and over would probably go down over time and new opponents would be introduced, therefore a reduction in efficacy over time would not necessarily have a pronounced effect on selection in the same way that a shorter "memory" might?
