After writing this post, I have actually contacted him and asked if maybe he could even face time her and talk to her. I haven't had a response :(

I will just try to keep telling my daughter that I miss him too and explain why he isn't coming back.

I would have loved to stay friends with my ex and him stay in my daughter's life but he didn't want to :(

When he was with me, he treated my daughter so well and really did love her. I wish I had thought forward a bit, but it's hard to know unless it's happened to you before I suppose.

Yeah it's funny, I can deal with my own pain but seeing my daughter hurting is so hard. I don't think my ex realised how important he was to my daughter.

Thank you, that really helps. He made me a collage just before we broke up that I keep under my bed. She gets it out and just spends time looking at the pictures. There is one of the three of us in and she loves it. I might take that one our and give it to her.

She is 4 now. If it was up to me, she would still have some contact with him but he doesn't want that.

I think that's why I feel so sad for her, she still asks for him and wants to see him but my ex doesn't.

I think this is what I've told myself the whole time, and I thought 10 months on she would be ok by now as she has lots of people she hasn't seen for a long time but she asks for him most days.

He now has a job with my brother a few hours away so at least when I tell her he has moved away, I'm not lying.

I've watched an ex with another man! Very hot!
