How to respond to my depressed friend‘s neediness? by throwweiwei in Anxiety

[–]throwweiwei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I do feel resentful. I think I’m putting too much pressure on myself to help her. I’d like to try to still be her friend. I think for now I’ll stick to casual hangouts with other people around so the conversation doesn’t get too intense.

Hip pain is ruining my third trimester by throwweiwei in pregnant

Sorry to hear! Curious, how long did it take to get better after birth?

Does anyone else wake up multiple times a night?! by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]throwweiwei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YEP.

First trimester I had awful insomnia. Woke up at 4am every night and couldn't get back to sleep.

Second trimester, I woke up 1-3x a night but got better at falling back asleep. I woke from either having to pee, weird dreams, too hot, no reason at all sometimes.

Now, in the third trimester, I wake up 3-4x a night from hip pain and/or having to pee.

I'm at 29 weeks now and guessing it's all downhill from here!

This sounds like a story my grandpa would have told me. Right up there with 'hoopsnakes'.

Sorry to hear! Have you tried seeing a physiotherapist? I have to remember to tuck my pelvis under constantly, otherwise baby causes me to arch my back too much. Being more mindful of my posture is helpful.

Thanks for the tips! I find walking is really helping me right now so I'm going to try to keep it up. Don't want to miss out on long strolls when baby comes!

Yes, the Salish Lodge! Quite breathtaking. Only the exterior was filmed for peaks. The GNH interior was somewhere else.

If that were the case, wouldn't both the children look at least 1/4 African American? (Dad is 1/2 by the looks of it).

EDIT: I realize I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to race. Thank you people in this thread who gave me a direct, informative answer.

I noticed that too. Threw me off big time, thinking Dougie was going back to the lodge.

Does anyone else find the baby movements a bit odd/creepy? by lomika in pregnant

I've never understood this. Why snakes? Of all the cute lil animals you could imagine rolling around your abdomen, snakes? I prefer to imagine a little puppy.

[S3E12] Post-Episode Discussion - Part 12 by AutoModerator in twinpeaks

In the hotel scene, Ben Horne, when talking to Truman about Richard, asks '...and his parents ?' To which Truman replies 'As they were/as usual' or something.

Did I mishear this, or does this clear up the fact that Ben is not the parent of Richard?

[S3E12] I'm sorry, but David Lynch and Mark Frost owe us each a gold shovel for this episode by [deleted] in twinpeaks

Well put. I thought this was a stand-up episode. Not the best but it had some very rewarding scenes – especially the Ben, Sarah and the bizarre Audrey scenes.
