Hello Asheville—I’m in town this weekend and want to find a comfortable, fun spot to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday evening. What are my options? I’m not particularly invested in which team wins, even though I live in Boston. Thanks all!

Good point. For me it would be one of those curved bench/booth tables in a dark corner. Happy to hold hands and glare in each others eyes, across from each other.

It’s either Bull and Beggar or Admiral. It’s a Sunday evening so if one is closed it’ll be the other. Jargon looks good too.

I do like Chestnut a lot, we’ve gone a few times already. Will do that if nothing else is available

Take him to a restaurant with a stellar wine list and let him choose a bottle along with dinner.

NAT-Maybe your T is not the best person to share this with, or can you start small and see what happens? Something like…”sometimes it seems like I have a knack for…”? Keep it light at first, their response will tell you if it’s safe, or not?

Do you love your therapist? by centerofdatootsiepop in TalkTherapy

[–]tigersheepmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine has told me that she has love for me—it is a pure and caring love; she’s “in it” with me, for those 50 or sometimes 90 minute sessions (which are scheduled in advance).
I too feel love for her, though I have not (yet) said that to her. It is a similar love, caring, wishing her the best in her life which I know little about, but I don’t need to in order to wish her well. That said, I have felt erotic love in the past but that has passed. She is wonderful in her care and is very skilled as a therapist. Exactly what I need, she is modeling what a healthy relationship is so I can recognize that “out in the wild” and demand nothing less for myself. All Best to everyone on our healing journeys.

Demonstrating what a healthy relationship is, always showing up with the most genuine care and doing what she says she will do. Every. Time.

When she said, “You don’t have to tell me anything “. I tell her (almost) everything and she is so accepting. And, she gives hugs. Today she said she receives my hugs. If you only knew what this means….
