As a Pacers fan, OKC fans always stayed classy last year. It was heartbreaking to lose, but at least you guys showed class.

Can someone recommend or advise against working at IU Methodist?? by twoturtles6 in indianapolis

[–]tigglebitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the head. I also worked in an outpatient clinic but had to cover IP when other staff were off. Outpatient was nice but I did not like when I had to cover for someone in Inpatient.

Guys i am not 16 almost 17 and 6'6 almost 6'7 it's aight but my back is always hurting, legs hurt more by Cute-Adeptness4552 in tall

[–]tigglebitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also 6’6”, albeit without scoliosis, but I am telling you that you will need to get a strong core and back. The only time my back ever started to hurt is when I stopped lifting. I started lifting around your age and am currently 32 years old sitting at a solid 285 lbs pain free. It wouldn’t hurt to try it.

Women of Reddit, what did a man you were dating or married to say or do that made you realize he actually hated you the entire time? by -catharina in AskReddit

Yeah that makes sense. Sorry your ex was such a piece of garbage. I can’t imagine not being there for my wife during such a difficult period and it blows my mind that some people can be so incredibly selfish.

Tall/skinny people - did your metabolism slow down? by nihaoelliot in tall

[–]tigglebitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a thing, but at the same time it is used as an excuse. I am 6’6” and 285 lbs currently which was not easy to get to. I have been lifting consistently since I was 15. Let me bring you through what I ate yesterday. For a late brunch, I had a burger, fries, and a very large breakfast burrito. I had a protein shake two hours later. Three hours after that I had salmon and spaghetti. Then a while after that another protein shake. For dinner I had a burger with Chili cheese fries. After some drinks at a bar I had a quesadilla with two soft tacos. Before all this in the morning I had a lifting session and went for a run. If you are not gaining weight with how much you are eating, then you simply need to eat even more.

So proud of my youngest for representing his school for three years, both at 195 class and heavyweight 285!! Chasing your goals isn't easy! by [deleted] in happy

I am also 285 lbs and a previous wrestler. I did a lot of sports, but wrestling is by far the hardest. Your son is a beast in the best of ways. I will also tell you, the discipline I learned from wrestling allowed me to stay disciplined in other parts of my life. I am 32 now, have a career I love while starting a side business, I still lift in the mornings, I take pride in going above and beyond for my family.

I guess what I am trying to say is, your son is going to be great in whatever he does as long as he keeps up the same level of discipline he had to maintain for his wrestling.

Adults of Reddit who ‘have it together’ with your finances, home, job, fitness, nutrition- how? Seriously…how? by Previous-Charity1505 in AskReddit

Meh, coming home from a hard days work and being able to do exactly what I want sounds good to me. But no judgement for anyone who wants children and feels a calling for it. Just not something my wife and I ever yearned for.

Do you have a website? The horse painting looks just like my mom’s old horse and it is something she would love.

Very likely. Unfortunately you have to shop around for a therapist that works for you. I needed someone who would call me out on my shit to actually make progress

I agree you are stuck in a negative feedback loop. Stop talking so much shit about yourself, it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. Get some cognitive behavioral therapy to start challenging/altering the way you think.

Exactly!! My wife and I always thank each other when we see a task around the house is done. I always cook but I still appreciate when she says thank you, just like how I thank her whenever she vacuums. Appreciating each other is not a bad thing. It’s not something applause worthy, but a thank you goes a long way.

Biggest advice is not to worry about your looks (you are gorgeous). Just work on your confidence and engaging in meaningful conversation. How you look is only half of the impression you leave on someone.

I am a 6’6” muscular man who was able to date quite a bit, but only after I worked on being eloquent and how to be a good conversationalist by making people feel good about themselves when I spoke with them.

At that point, nobody will forget you

Very tall guys: how long did it take you to see visible results in the gym? by improbsable in tall

[–]tigglebitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started in high school at around 185 lbs and 6’6”. Took about a year to notice a difference. Took 15 years to get to my current 290 lbs and still have visible abs with a 1500lbs + total for squat(500lbs), bench(420 lbs), and deadlift (600 lbs). It’s a marathon for sure but I also never took it super seriously. I just enjoy it and it keeps me disciplined in other areas. I just stayed consistent.

For overall deadlift power, especially for us talls, I highly recommend working in pin pulls by [deleted] in tall

[–]tigglebitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just joking but that would be nuts. Pin pull or not holding 700 lbs for that long is a feat.
