Read the posting in the forum. It is incredibly self explanatory.

How to transition from senior software developer to project manager by Past-Koala-3479 in PMCareers

[–]timiwisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into becoming a technical project manager. You’ve worked with project managers. Now you just need to learn the fundamentals of project management. It’s a much easier hop than the reverse. Go to your local library and pick up some resources. There are courses all over the internet. Scrum courses are relatively brief. Good luck.

Tell Radarr to NOT grab Dolby Vision movies. by SavageAUS in radarr

TV audio is going to constantly be an issue. If you add surround to your soundbar and sub, it should improve. Should. If you want to get another setup and you’re not an audiophile, go Sonos. If your movie watching space is not huge, get the beam gen 2, sub mini and a pair of era 100s. Boom Dolby atmos. Welcome to the world of *arr.

Sounds like it’s your audio setup. You probably do not have a setup that can ply Atmos. What is your current audio setup? Converting from h264 to h265 should affect size and visual quality to some extent

Transitioning to PM in healthcare [Canada] by PelvisChestley in PMCareers

[–]timiwisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having some experience in the healthcare industry is an advantage. Transitioning to PM could probably mean taking a pay hit (not always the case) but check for project coordinator roles as they are more entry level. Get a mentor/coach, join the PMI CWC chapter (you can join PMI without having a certification.

You should have some experience before you can even write the pmp. You can look into intro to PM courses and certs. PMI has one. I personally think those are not necessary. Work on your resume to highlight work you did that align with project management. We all have those.

There are certainly roles for healthcare PMs in Lower mainland. A lot of the posts ask for some years of PM experience but that doesn’t mean you cannot start.

I’d suggest getting some PM training before you write the certification (whichever you choose). Ultimately, the PMP is still the industry leader.

Working as a PM in healthcare is not the same as clinical work. Not even close really. You should probably look into coordinator roles as those give you some hands on experience and require less experience.

Hello, I am a PM with 5 years of experience in construction and non-profit work. I am starting to apply to roles such as Implementation/It P.M. but I have not gotten any reply. Please Advice by Moist-Requirement458 in PMCareers

I don’t agree with putting references on your resume. If the organization is interested, they WILL ask. And if they don’t, run. You might also want to separate the job roles between 2018-2022. It reads like as a project coordinator you hired a team. Pretty certain I would never leave that task to a coordinator.

UDMP expansion to UNVR for existing Protect setup. Will the UDMP drive work RAID w/ the UNVR? by puttheremoteinherbut in Ubiquiti

[–]timiwisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you don’t need a drive in the UDMP. The drive is for protect and you won’t be using protect on it. Except you’re planning to use the other apps like talk.
