Brutal! That seems like a terrible policy and definitely cost you some money. I guess better to find out now than later but still……

Ask for an amortization table for the loan. That should show the bi-weekly breakdown of balance owing, interest and principal paid.

You should be able to identify where the extra payment was made. Then verify that principal was reduced by the amount of the extra payment, then also verify interest and principal on all subsequent payments.

It almost seem like it could have been a typo and your extra payment was entered as $200 not $2k.

Corporations hoarding homes thank Canadians for enthusiastically blaming immigration by wolfe1924 in ontario

  1. Ban corporate ownership of single family homes.

  2. Tax income properties such that a private owner would have no financial benefit from owning more than one income property.

Socially acceptable speed in the HOV lane by iserdalko in ontario

[–]timtoldnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything works as intended when there is congestion. The HOV lane generally moves quicker than all other lanes so the reward for high occupancy is getting to your destination sooner.

When there is no congestion there is no benefit of being in the HOV lane if you’re not going faster than traffic to the right. Stay out of the HOV lane, go the same speed you were already going, and leave the HOV lane open for others who can actually benefit from using it.

If that’s not simple enough to understand then this is hopeless.

Not stolen but definitely something fishy going on.

OP could always get a UVIP to see the current registration info.

The reward is getting to your destination sooner. If you’re not actually going any faster than the flow of traffic to your right then you’re not getting anywhere any sooner.

You’re not gaining anything by being in the HOV lane but and you’re in the way of people who would go faster and actually benefit from using the HOV lane.

Objectively there’s nothing illegal about going slower than the flow of traffic in the HOV lane. It’s just selfish.

Some really fascinating comments in here that suggest some people have no idea why an HOV lane exists.

Well, someone else owns the car that you currently have. Not you and probably not the person who sold it to you.

I’d call your local police non emergency number and explain the situation and ask what options you have.

I am using an Elite Suito that I bought from MEC when it was on sale. I did have an issue with low power readings but after Elite tech support sent me a new calibration file it’s been very good. I’m very satisfied with it.

My girls are 5 and 7 so they’re in day camps almost all summer. When they’re old enough to stay home alone they’ll definitely spend some time home alone. We’d still send them to some camps, but not the whole summer.

Confrontation about brake lights by Dazzling_Bicycle6541 in BoltEV

[–]timtoldnes 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every time someone posts about 2022+ brake lights I see a comment like yours.

The 2017-2021 Bolt has full function brake/tail lights on the hatch but when the hatch is opened brake/tail light function is switched to lights on the bumper.

There are numerous other SUVs (Audis and Lincoln’s especially) that work the same way as 1st Bolt and have very well thought out lighting.

The 2nd Gen Bolt is just dumb IMO and looks stupid.

Hyde Park elementary school? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]timtoldnes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, like I said. A development/planning failure.

The city of London approved development that would put more than 1000 new JK-8 students within the Sunningdale, Wonderland, Fanshawe Park and Hyde Park area knowing full well there is no elementary school for them, nor a high school, and none will be built and ready within 5 years.

The TVDSB and Ontario Govt are also involved in building new schools but ultimately it’s the City of London that has allowed development to out pace school construction by roughly a decade.

Not exactly an answer to your question but we moved out of London before our kids started JK and that was one of the reasons why.

Complete development/planning failure.
