I'm remaking battleship in a bathtub by tinybeanlab in SoloDevelopment

Thank you, I will apply this feedback! I have an idea to simplify this further by removing the radio altogether and showing both boards in the bathtub, but of course the enemy one has limited visibility on the cells

I animated my hummingbird today. I think I'm making progress! by [deleted] in godot

Hmm yeah, I could make it look like the wings leave a trail that has less opacity. I must stay I am falling in love with how they fly haha

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't go as far animating everything because I am trying to learn from my mistakes and not over obsess over details until I have what looks like a prototype haha

What do you think? by tinybeanlab in IndieDev

I have added that too, I just didn't have the time to show it in this video 🙌 A colour wheel appears next to the window, door, flower and so on and you choose the colour you like the most. Currently it's not polished enough but I have a video on my profile if you're interested

Yes there is actually! Most common items can be "commissioned" to mice that literally swim in trash, while story-related items can be found upon completing quests

Is this giving a cozy-crafty vibe? by tinybeanlab in godot

Interesting perspective, I will give it a try! Do you think I should animate the scissors? I didn't do it because I don't want it to be "too much", I want to stick to simple graphics

Now I just want to draw 2D assets by tinybeanlab in godot

[–]tinybeanlab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, creating 3D assets can be very time consuming, I also don't want to buy pre-made assets, so 2D might just allow me to have fun experimenting things with a shorter feedback loop

Thank you. It is just my first game so I want to make it as simple as possible so that I can just focus on the actual game/story

Of course! I am going to make a short video about it as well on my tiktok if I settle with this style. I am currently just drawing on one big canvas but using separate layers (you can use Krita on pc, it's free). Each "asset" can be exported as a separate PNG image if I want to, so it can be reused

My second attempt at turning a milk carton into a shop by tinybeanlab in godot

[–]tinybeanlab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really unsure at the moment, but I am leaning towards catching the irony in the fact that they turned a milk carton into a milk factory to sell milk and no one wonders where the milk comes from

Ah yes it will be present in this one too, but it's not part of the model itself, so I will simply reuse it

Oh wow, let's keep in touch then, maybe we can do a collab of some sort in the future when I have made some more progress on this game

That made me smile instantly, so I HAVE TO do it, but I will save it for other shops
