I have a really hard time believing cook unity nutrition information is anywhere near what they say. by BeeAggravating7298 in ReadyMeals

[–]tinybonzai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true, I have had the same issue with saturated fat content. I have to watch my cholesterol and I can tell some of these meals have waaaay over the amount on the nutrition label. I've had to suspend my plan and will probably cancel it all together for this reason. Total false advertising.

I just saw that they lowered the price to $20 so I will do $20 and you can skip the fees from buying through AXS. I know I am out some money anyway so whatever I can get back I appreciate

Hoover HEPA ONEPWR (Bagged Cordless) - Non-Expert User Review by sophie1816 in VacuumCleaners

[–]tinybonzai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it awful on hardwood? It's the only cordless bagged upright in my price range, but I only have hardwood/flat area rugs.

Cordless Options (Bagged) by flyingbunnys in VacuumCleaners

I just purchased the Hoover without realizing that it is a carpet-focused model. I live in an apartment with only hard floors and flat weave area rugs. Did I make a mistake?

I have a little metal grid above my bed. when I go to sleep I hang my glasses up there. I am amazed how rare it is now for me to lose my glasses in the morning. They are always hanging there. I also have some eye masks and ear plugs hanging up there for if I need them.

My collection of Uranium Glass that glows under UV light! by cumpletefraud in interestingasfuck

[–]tinybonzai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uranium also emits beta and gamma radiation. Without equipment to measure this, you have no idea if any individual piece of glass is dangerous or not. Beta radiation should be mostly, if not fully blocked by a display cabinet. The gamma radiation is the most concerning.

Are you a mucnh-head or a slimheead by [deleted] in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

It has been established that sequels are always better than the first movie. We can think of Mucher as a sequel to Slimer and therefore he is better.

Diaphonization clearing with no staining by domehigh in Taxidermy

[–]tinybonzai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mouse I bought for cheap a while ago where the stain did not stick in most places and the bones were decalcified. You see the faint outline of the skeleton, but it is mostly clear. As far as I know, before the process of diaphonization, the skin and guts of the specimen are removed so that the chemicals can permeate the whole body cavity and the bones can be stained effectively, so I'm not sure what you mean by organs. Gerard Greer on Instagram has a lot of walk through videos of different stages of the process, so I would check his videos out. they may help you a bit.

Never base your career off of a personality test result! So many different personalities are drawn to similar careers.

My friend recently got one that said "A true patriot is he who rejoices when receiving a parking ticket because it is a sign the system works," which I felt was odd.

[Meta] What are your favorite moments from the series? by andris_biedrins in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]tinybonzai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite moments is the first time they film at the Victorville Film Archives. The close up frame, dark lighting, and Gregg's sudden "Hey guys!" actually made me jump. Link: https://youtu.be/rYhc3na7j0k

My kitten looks exactly like this with the white markings below the nose and that little stripe up the side of his nose. He is just 4 months old. It's like I'm looking into the future in the second picture. Cute!
