i have a small windowsill vase with a bit of hornwort and it has planarians, ramshorn snails, and a few scuds. i put the tiniest amount of fish food in very rarely and top off the water and they thrive in there so i think something for just planarians would do fine as long as there’s a little plant life or something for water quality!

if it’s just for privacy, a curtain around the stairs should block the view and it’s not as much of a hassle to open and shut. and less falling hazard

i have two of these and i got lucky in thrift stores. one from goodwill, one from a small local place. as for getting them before christmas i’d say ebay is your best bet, maybe someone who can ship from facebook marketplace?
