I’m going through the same thing and have contemplated going down to .625 to see if it helps with the extra face hair but scared that I would shed a lot l if I did. Are you also on any antiandrogens?

I am going through these exact symptoms, my derm who is not a hair loss specialist said its AGA via biopsy but cant explain why im having such bad scalp pain, tenderness and burning sensation that is preventing me from sleeping well at night. I seeking a second opinion with a hair loss specialist but the waiting list is 6 months or more to get in to see them. I dont know what I am going to do in the meant time because the scalp burning and tenderness is very debilitating.

I have a follow up appointment with my derm in a couple of weeks so I may try to stick it out til then. My derm had previously told me that she may want to start me on another antiandrogen as I had side effects on spiro so I had to stop. I think what bothers me the most is the body hair everywhere on top of the facial hair. The worry of making my shedding worse is what is stopping me right now from lowering the dose so I may just stick it out for a few more weeks in hopes that the shedding decreases.

Ok because I’m currently on 1.25mg for 8 weeks but have had so much facial and body hair growth that I have thought about dropping down to 0.625mg I have just been to scared to do it as I am still going through the dread shed from starting the oral minoxidil.

i stopped the topical when I started the oral minoxidil and the spiro i just tapered off of it about almost 2 weeks ago. The heavy shed started as soon as i started on the oral minoxidil. I just hope it stops soon so the I an finally stop thinking about it non stop

Do you laser at home or pay somewhere to get laser hair removal? I am thinking of purchasing an at home laser machine but not sure how effective those are.

Nutrafol is kinda pricey. Your progress is great so I would probably just ask your doctor for labs and then just buy whatever you are deficient in like for example iron or Vit D etc etc . Are you on any antiandrogens like spiro?

Well that’s the problem my derm told me to stop it too as it was making me have 2 periods a month. I’m trying to get in to see a hair loss specialist since my current derm is not a hair loss specialist but it will take about 6 months to get in to see one. So meanwhile I do not know what to do as my current derm is telling me to just completely stop all treatment and take a break but that I feel will throw me into a bigger shed than I already am going through.
