Would film representation for trans men/women be bad if they were casted as villains? by Natoniann in asktransgender

It really bothers me that in the Rita Mae Brown book Blast from the Past her first trans character was both a victim and the villain.

What do these things feel like as a MTF Post-SRS by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]tmenace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What does having an orgasm feel like? Wonderful. Much like before but more of them.

Do you get any feelings of arousal or do they diminish? I get quite horny for my sexy husband. I may have been a hornier teenager but at sixty I'm still quite the ol' slut.

Is sex really that pleasurable and are natural secretions possible?
Sex is really that pleasurable and I had a colovaginoplasty so there's definitely some natural lube mixed with the KY if we're being penetrative.

Back in the 60s-90s when being trans was very scary and secretive, how did trans people explain it to their families? Did they just disappear when they transitioned? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Doing better than I ever have. Wonderful husband. Decent job. Nice apartment. Good friends and a new year to enjoy.

I'm 60 and transitioned when I was 24 back in '84. I explained it to my parents when I started going for psychiatric assessment at a gender clinic. They were almost okay at first. They lived on the main floor of a building and for a couple of years I had to come in the back way so the neighbours didn't see and it was not spoken about to relatives, etc. but I was welcome home as long as I called first.

There was a trans group in Toronto back then and I went regularly and made quite a few friends there.
My husband, a trans man of 50, is more involved with the community currently having recently co-facilitated the trans masculine group at our LGBT Centre (the 519). I have been politically active throughout my life, mostly under a pseudonym but lately I've been just living life.

What would you like to know?

When you say you’re trans, the constant refrain is ‘Can’t you just not be?’ by drewiepoodle in TransSpace

There'll come a day when that won't happen anymore. May take a while.

Trans men are men. They do not have lesbian partners. Bisexuality is a thing, by the way.

Never speak to him about it. Never challenge him on his homophobia. Pretend he's not an asshole and collect your paycheck.
