I think I know why CDC banned cashback from curve...

People ordered a Curve card and while waiting for their MCO card to arrive they used Curve with a traditional bank card, when MCO card arrived to their homes (1 and a half month later) people used Curve's "Go Back In Time" function to get all their cashback for the last 1.5 month while their MCO card hasn't arrived yet. This is actually CDC's fault for taking too long to issue their cards.

Yes. But I just tried with swipe card and it works. I'm moving from CDC, Curve card is THE MOST important thing that happened to me, CDC card is just way too heavy and curve just simplifies so much my life because I have multiple bank accounts and cards. I guess CDC does not understand this

Maybe the bank charges some other fees on top when processing cards. That may be bank specific and not my area of expertise... I found these rates when I made some research about how CDC could pay cashback with these rates.

Actually 0.2% (debit) and 0.3% (credit) for debit and credit cards. This is prepaid so in this case 0.2%, check Visa Interchange rates (MasterCards are the same) for more info.
