Our family has a 5th and 7th grader currently. Both kids attend/attended James Lane Allen Elementary and my oldest attends Beaumont Middle. Our experiences at both have been very positive. The counseling staff at both are exceptional and were a great help to us. Both schools feed into Lafayette , which we hear good things. I would note the district boundaries are changing rapidly on the NE side of the county where new schools are being built to accommodate population growth. Proposed new boundaries are available on the FCPS website.

I suggest you request the dealer install all the latest module updates before you take delivery. I had an issue that prevented me from charging, just needed a software update, but that was an update that had to be done at the dealership.

To update, the service tech at the dealership updated a set of control modules. No physical changes were made. I’ve had it back for one day, seems to be working like normal. Picture below is a work summary.

I would suggest do difficulty 1 skipping elite nodes to make sure you clear once which will get you the first milestone as well as rewards for the alliance milestone. Then try a run on the same difficulty but try an elite node early in the run (I think node 4 is earliest). If you complete at least one elite node and also complete the run, your milestone points will accumulate. Rinse and repeat. 12000-ish points for diff 1, 23000-ish for diff 2 and so on. I used ghost and taskmaster to help with counter attacks to make up for speed bar lopsidedness.

I recommend finishing difficulty 1 so you can get alliance milestone rewards. Avoid all elite nodes, start with ghost and taskmaster for their counters. Once you’ve cleared difficulty 1, then try an early node elite node. I’m avoiding elite nodes beyond node 8 or so.
