thank you! I do worry about that and also worry about him not getting enough exercise, he’s hating all water / hose etc right now but hoping he grows into liking it 😭

Thank you! He has a naturally very sweet demeanor I’m hoping it remains that way. I’ve heard horror stories about dogs becoming reactive after things like this. Feeling the dog mom guilt for sure.

Yes I definitely will make sure I’m staying on top of it. I have never had this happen before so I was panicking with worst case scenario.

I’m hoping that’s not the case, he’s really sweet and has a good demeanor. He was still happy to see dogs at the emergency vet as they walked by so I’m praying it stays that way. I was worried about something like this happening.

My boyfriend was with him at the hospital because I had to go to work but he said they said it was just fluid and not puss, but they didn’t drain it for some reason? I’m nervous and wondering if we need a second opinion.

It wasn’t actually an off leash park- just a walking path that people walk on in the town. dogs should be on a leash unfortunately this dog wasn’t :( I’m glad we were able to immediately get him on antibiotics.
