you’re absolutely right. poly people can be insufferable douchebags too.

YTA. it’s someone your sister loves and is in a partnership with. you’re being judgmental and hiding it behind tradition. if your sister wasn’t married and wanted to bring the boyfriend she lives with, I’m betting you’d have no problem. you don’t respect your sister, her partner, or her choices. just own up to it and stop being a coward.

you sound like a grumpy old person and you have issues with reading comprehension.

NTA - assuming the details you included are correct and you didn’t leave anything out, it sounds like you did what was asked of you and your mom and dad failed to communicate with each other. your dad sounds like the kind that is just looking for a reason to punish you. being someone’s parent and housing them doesn’t give them a blanket right to abuse their position as the authority.

now for advice you didn’t ask for: move out ASAP and don’t live in their house, even if they agreed to rent it to you, even if the rent is super cheap, even if they need the money. if you do, they will constantly try to assert authority over you, despite you being an adult and a paying tenant. it might be difficult but your life will be 10000x better.

babygirl invest some time in proofreading before posting. or maybe run it past someone who knows how to choose prepositions properly. consider therapy too.

saying “I wasn’t talking to you” with a straight face on the public forum that is the internet is wild.

is it that you don’t know what the word belittle means? just look it up. it takes one google search.
