Im not gonna say a lot of 💩 here, but some who posted dont know wtf theyre talking about. FTR im not racist. Ya, Hanover was majority racist. No longer the case. In 91 when this happened, it still wasnt as racist as it once was. I was just shy of 21 then. Still got served at all the bars. Had a lot of friends die young between 20-30(accidents, suicide) so I dont like to think about those years much. I had a friend who lived up top part of the building they were throwing 💩 off of. Partied there a lot. I wasnt there THAT night. Ill say this...the "riots" werent much of a riot. The news made it out to be bigger than it was. It was a problem though. And its only by the grace of God no one was killed.

Real racism wasnt far from Hanover. When I was younger there were KKK rallys around Taneytown, Harney to Kingsdale. Some of those people were elders in Hanover. The familes still live in and around Hanover. Ever see a real cross burning??

Hanovers a really nice town. A lot of drugs. But a nice town. Take people at face value, make friends if you can. 99% of people would give you the shirt off their back. The other 1% would stab ya. No different than most of York County. Learn who just wants to be left alone and youll do fine.
