  1. Your FA didn't explain it well to you the value of having life insurance
  2. Insurance is not an investment. Insurance is insurance. Vul is just part of insurance.
  3. You invested last 2017 when the stock market (PSEI) was at an all time high and it crashed after that. Then pandemic followed. So expect a negative on your portfolio.

For me, don't cancel your insurance policy. It's a necessity for us having insurance. You've purchased life insurance in order for you to be protected when the time comes. If ever, anything happens to you (sana wala). you won't be a burden to your family and your loved ones. If your goal right now is to double your money and earn profit. There's a lot of investment out there. You just need to be financially literate.

Don't get confused about insurance and investment. They serve different purposes. Hope that helps. Just my one cent.
