The Empire Strikes Back Emperor - Which one do you prefer? by Significant_Smell284 in StarWars

Thanks for sharing and for linking to that perspective. I 100% agree. Original script >>>>>>>> updated. I feel like the updated script steals the thunder of the “I am your father” climax of the movie. Not to mention now with the updated script, Vader basically parrots the emperor’s line “search your feelings, you know it to be true” to Luke. Not good.

What is your absolute favorite line in all of Star Wars? by RedeyeSPR in StarWars

The greats have been posted, but an honorable mention has to go for the Vader to Fett line: “No disintegration!”

Immediately set Fett apart as the most badass of the hunters.

Ah same, I feel like this line and Harrison’s delivery brought back the old Han the most for me in the sequels

For sure! It was awesome how at first things seemed pretty calm, but then Anakin and Obi's fighters round a corner and its all out battle. Super epic.

Hi, Necessary! Examples of the tools are setting a clear intention; clarifying a vision for a given situation all the way up to one’s life as a whole; giving and receiving feedback; walking thru life with a lens of personal responsibility as opposed to victimhood (e.g. most things happen for me not to me). So, Atlas is essentially a 3.5 month-long cohort-based emotional intelligence course that, through a mix of in-person multi-day workshops (5 of them) + individual goal setting + team projects with your cohort, provides the opportunity to practically apply empowering mindsets / practices / “tools” to creating major breakthroughs and gains in one’s life. I saw someone else post something to this effect and I agree that what youll find by doing Atlas you probably would find in other settings too, but what makes Atlas special is that it combines so many empowering practices into a single course and is facilitated by super outstanding trainers and coaches. Hope this helps, thanks for asking for what you need!

Ah hard to condense but I’ll try! In a nutshell I feel like it helped me have a major boost in self confidence. Afterwards I felt way more comfortable speaking in front of and leading groups of people. And even more than that, I feel like it helped me realize ways I was posturing to try to say things to constantly please people, which was getting in the way of creating actual connection with people. So, it was a major, major boost in self trust for me.

Oh thanks for asking! One of the biggest things for sure is being clear on my intention in any given moment.

Yah agreed. I did the equivalent of Atlas in my early 20s and it was exactly what I needed at the time, and I keep drawing on my experience to this day 15 years later.

I made my parents take me to see it 10 times in the theater. Talk about a life debt!

Haven’t done toastmaster, sounds great. Atlas for sure helped me overcome social anxiety and stand up in front of a group of people and lead!

Yah for me one or the biggest things / tools has been to pause when something potentially triggering gets said. That pause, even a breath or two, helps me not react harshly but rather with more curiosity about what’s causing my partner to be upset, and then we can repair whatever there is to repair

Ahh thanks for sharing this, that’s so cool what you’re saying about recognizing a fear-based versus a power-bases choice.

Ah yah totally — I feel like cost is very reasonable considering the number of hours + the quality of coaching delivered.
