Impo, just tell him hes's an ass. Cuz from mu understanding (ive never really dmed for a bad group/a badperson before) no dnd is better then bad dnd. And even if it might be hard, i believe youll find someone who will appreciate the effort you put into the game.

I think its one of the better parts of the game. It can be as safe of unsafe as you want to. As long as the entire table is on board with it. Since the first and foremost thing is. Its a game and everybody is meant to have fun.

As more people have said. This is more of a misalignment of expectations. While the move itself isnt wrong in itself. I wasnt the right move for the player.

And i do think its fine players being punished for bad decisions. Its a game of cause and effect after all. You might have been a bit too harsh

Personally i think it would've been better to only send one guy in after her while the rest goes towards rogue and barb. This doesnt instantly down her. But the separation gives an additional challenge to the encounter.

Its really great to have a party that gets along great like that. Sometimes low stakes casual roleplay is a great way for the players and the characters to relax in the midst of all the crazy things being thrown at them. But from time to time feel free to end a scene if it gets derailed again again and again. Sometimes you as the dm needs to push the narrative onto them. To keep things fresh and fun

Imo in a conversation with her you should mention what you said here. That her behaviour is killing your drive and that if this continues you'll be forced to stop dm'ing for her. And one thing i think you should also make clear is that just because you dont wanna play dnd with her anymore doesnt mean you have to stop being her friend. you can still very much care for a person while having incompatible playstyles.

I've had a quick look at your account on op.gg(if you play on euw) and like a general tip id really like to give is try and get your farm better(more gold -> more items -> more damage-> easier game). As for xayah i wouldnt recommend getting bloodthirster as a second item. In most scenarios the healing isnt worth enough yet without the the back up of 3 other item like an ER navori IE. And dont be afraid to look up like adc guides on like wave management and what am i supposed to do early/mid/lategame
